Out today on what was a sprout field birds have hit hard over winter- surrounded by bare land all birds would do is hop from one field to another and where feeding on something on there - i wondered would it be groundsell ??

Out at Wainfleet area this morning,large numbers on sprouts still and very large flock on rape - but there not playing !

My stance is that it only carries any substance if you allow it to - to coin an old friends saying " there will always be a word with two LL's in the middle " how right he is i'd say !

Great stuff - nice when effort is rewarded - hit the sprout early,only managed 8 before the rain came at 9.55am,holed up in motor for a good hr expecting a good stint when it calmed - how wrong was i ! They never returned,wind really dropped after the rain which seemed to put them elsewhere - always tomorrow and the sprouts are trimmed blanched and in the freezer !

I think the party has left a useful and lasting impact - allowed many a voice when there was no one who would listen,and certainly helped on the road to leaving the EU - JOB DONE !

Thats why i wrote wet/muddy - when given options i think they use there common abit - just as we might ?

In the right conditions yes there good - but as they say dont believe the hype ? i needed new ones and just decided to give em a go - to keep things simple i suppose you can ask - what dont shine when its wet ? ?

Do i like them - yes - but there no better than others - they deffo shine in the sun and when you shoot them they'll have holes in - all said and done youll never beat a real bird ?

Purple sprouting broc -- it is indeed - it allows them to land on and keep of the wet/muddy floor - plenty to go at without to much effort for them?

All the birds round here are sat on the sprouts or psb - typical flock,one shot and gone,wind may bring some bags as in terms of numbers but its a struggle at the moment - id say overall bird numbers are pretty high in the area with groups of 50+ dotted all over and more in certain places ?

Quite alot turning to the sprouts our way ?
