  1. I am selling my iPad 2nd Generation. It is the 16GB, 3G model - which is on EE network; accepts the following network SIM cards: Orange, T-Mobile, EE, and Virgin. It could possibly be unlocked however I don't have another SIM card to try. It comes complete in the original box with wall charger and USB cable. It has been well looked after and is in excellent condition, almost like new. The iPad has warranty with Apple until December. £255 collected - no offers please. I am located in Cambridge.
  2. That would be a last resort. I purchased the air rifle at distance so it would be rather difficult logistics wise and I don't believe it was purchased directly from a 'dealer'. Obviously if their is a fault, I would first contact Brocock to see if it is covered under warranty. Then at last resort contact the seller. However at the moment I would really like to get the air rifle tested to see if their is an issue or am I doing something wrong.
  3. Thanks again for your reply. I'm not to sure, I think its probably just an early model. I think I will try to run it through a chorono first. I am quite confident that it is the rifle, however I don't want to cause any embarrassment for myself. Although, I will definitely contact them if their is an issue.
  4. Hi subsonicnat, Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I am limited to Cambridge, or very near surrounding areas, Wisbech is a little far for me as I would be relying on a relative for a travel; I don't drive. I understand this it is quite unlikely to find anyone closer however I thought I wouldn't hurt to ask. Kind regards, Joshua
  5. Hello all, As you may have seen, in my other thread I'm having a few issues with a new PCP rifle I have just received. I believe this is unlikely, however does anyone in Cambridge have a chrono I can use or borrow (If I leave a deposit). Also, does anyone know if I can get a free check on my air rifle anywhere around Cambridge? I have found one place but they closed down :( I would be most grateful if anyone could help. Thanks!
  6. Thank you so much for all that information. Its like new, less than a month old. I still can't find them in dealers - I was told by Brocock that they are being released over the next week or so in shops. It only came with 1 magazine, it would seem that is a possibilty because it does seen like you can have a couple of okay shots then 1 or 2 bad. Firstly I think I will try and run it over a chrono to see if the power is consistent and maybe let someone else has ago to see what they think. Also, I'll give the barrel a clean as you suggested to see if that helps. I have given it a good chance to settle though, I've put quite a few pellets through already. I'm uncertain if Brocock's warranty is transferable however I may get in contact with them to see - I'm not sure if they will help though. I don't want to pay out any more money though as I have already gone over my original budget and also I wouldn't have the knowledge or time to do anything technical myself.
  7. Hello, I've recently acquired a Brocock Contour Elite Super Six air rifle - however I'm having a few issues that I'm hoping you may be able to help me with. 1. EDIT: Resolved this issue. 2. After charging the air rifle to 190 BAR, I can get around 10-12 really accurate shots however after that the rest of the shots are all over the place. Which bothers me, at first I thought it was the pellet however after trying a few others it doesn't seem to have helped. What is also strange is that they are not consistent either i.e. I could understand if the pressure is dropping, the pellet would go slightly lower. To confirm I have tried JSB, RWS Super Field and a few other pellets. 3. The air rifle charges to 200 BAR Maximum, I charge it to around 180-190 to be safe, how low should I let it go before I refill the air rifle. This isn't an issue, I just wanted to check. I have been contacting the gentleman that I purchased the air rifle and bottle from however I really don't want to bother him anymore because if they are just issues that I can easily resolve and if that are no faults with the actual equipment then its not fair. So I'm really hoping that someone will be able to help me because I've been trying to resolve this for a couple of days now but to no avail. Regards, Joshua
  8. No worries, I'll have to leave it then buddy. I don't really want to buy a shotgun at distance without seeing pictures. Regards, Joshua
  9. Hi nabbers, I've sent you a PM. Regards, Joshua
  10. Okay - Cheers! I've phoned him twice and no one has answered - I would really like this gun, I've been after a semi-auto around this price for a while.
  11. Thanks everyone who replied (including the PM's). Just an update: I'm no longer looking for a bottle.
  12. Actually after a little research, I'm after a small bottle, preferably 7 Litre but I would consider others depending on the price. I'm located in Cambridge, ideally I would prefer to pay cash on collection if possible however I'm open to suggestions. Any advice would also be helpful as this is the first time buying a dive bottle. Thanks
  13. If you click on the blue title, you'll see that their are 3 images. Regards, Joshua
  14. Thanks for the advice regarding the spring and o-ring. I'm getting a new spring now and I've ordered some o-rings as I found a recommended size on another forum. With regards to tuning the air rifle, I think I may not have explained things well or you have mis-understood me. I'm not looking for a maximum power rifle, the reason I want to increase the power is because currently the rifle was probably less than half the legal limit - all the seals had has gone and the spring was very worn. I got the gun for free because my dad pulled it out of a skip about 15-20 years ago and he gave it to me when I was old enough. I'm not looking to spend hundreds on a nice rifle so I was hoping to spend between £20-£30 to refurbish the gun - make it look nice and increase the power slightly.
  15. Thanks. Well it definitely needs changing however luckily it all came out in one piece. I will upload some pictures soon because I'm looking for some advice on how I can make the gun more powerful. So far this is my list: New breech seal (I was informed to get a breech seal for the HW35 as it fits better?) - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/250559813913?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649 New o-ring New buffer washer Stretching the spring - possibly a new one Possibly adding some extra washers - I've heard this sometimes helps increase the power. Also, when I'm looking to buy an o-ring, I can buy 1 for £2.90 or I can get 10 for less £2 if I know the size - does anyone know the size? Here are the links: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-BSA-Mercury-Piston-O-Ring-Washer-/370529672787?pt=UK_SportingGoods_Hunting_ShootingSports_ET&hash=item56454a1e53 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221059162294?var=520096687189&ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649 Again, if you can offer me any advice I would be most grateful. Thanks
  16. Thanks for your advice. I've just got it out! A little brute force managed to budge it - and I did notice that the trigger got in the way near the end.
  17. I'm trying to refurbish my air rifle which hasn't been used for a few years however I'm having a little trouble. Its a Mark 5 BSA Meteor. After I take out the spring and guide, the piston doesn't want to come out. It turns in the tube freely and comes up about 7mm then becomes stuck. I cannot see anything stopping it coming out but it doesn't want to :( Am I missing something? Any advice would be good. Thanks in advance
  18. Sorry for the late reply, I've been out the UK for a while on holiday. Thank you everyone for all your help and some very nice gestures. I however have attempted the fix the crack myself and so far everything appears to be okay, fingers crossed, that it will stay that way. Kind Regards, Joshua
  19. Thanks for the 2 referrals, I'm sure that would do a great job but I personally don't think its worth it because the gun is very cheap anyway (Its a Baikal). If it was something expensive I would certainly look towards sending it away for repair. Thanks for the link steve_b_wales I may give that a try depending if I can slightly open the crack. Also, thanks for the advice bluebarrels, I'm not sure if I want to go to that extent to fix it though Once again, thank you everybody for your help. You've all been very helpful!
