How much are ppl paying for wheat in Dumfries and Galloway? My supplier wants £180 bagged and its not great quality. .....

Pheasants have been doing great. Eating loads of food and no birds escaping on the usual routes, untill yesterday. This lovely weather and hedge rows full of fruit are not helping. One man in a house on the shoot boundary seen 250 cross the road yesterday...... hope the came back but didnt see loads today Bring on the wind and rain haha

No I put feeders in the drive and leep frog others from the pen to the drive. On this subject how long do others only feed the pen for?

I leap frog hoppers from pen to drive and make sure I only feed whear I want the birds to be at least three weeks before the first shoot

Checking our duck today found one 100 yards away from the island they are on with just its head missing. I know tawny owls do it to pheasants but could a tawny carry an 8 week old duck away? Or was it a mink?

We have 4.5t for 1500 pheasants half a ton of that has flubenvet in for gape. At the rate they are getting through it we will just have enough before we ween them on to wheat at 12 weeks

Pheasants are doing well considering they have only had one dry night. Eating lots of food but wasted a lot from the spirals we had in the hoppers now changed and having to work a bit harder. The only good thing about the rain is it keeps the buzzards off the pheasants. Then the sun comes out and they are nervous wrecks again. Ducks coming this weekend
