Not quite sure i follow all of this but i would certainly agree the protections need to be higher. Pension payments (benefits) are currently too high relative to contributions and they encourage many pensioners to not work. If the system of payments related  more closely to contributions, many pensioners would not be able to sit at home relying on benefits (pension).

Don't know if you really believe this or are after bites but either way you're some piece of work....

  2. When I went I found the best way to get around was to follow the signs in the aisles ( pizzas, ready meals etc) one thing I'd definitely avoid is the crispy pancakes and the chicken and mushroom pies don't look stunning...

The trouble is that as the world population continues to increase the pressure on resources in the poorer parts of the world becomes more acute

Think of it like this, in somewhere like Somalia a man has a pretty useless piece of land that bearly supports him and four sons

When he dies the oldest son inherits the useless piece of land but his three brothers are cast out. Where can they go? What can they do ?

That story gets repeated thousands of times over in many parts of the world every day

All those surplus sons more or less have to become migrants

Then surely the best answer is to have less sons?

    No policy.

There will always be migration illegal or otherwise. The boats are in the channel because there is no policy to deal with migration, hence the boats. Trying to hurt the people that come across with tags or deportation is dealing with the wrong end of the issue.

The govt is hog tied by undeliverable promises , and the likes of Farage whipping up hysteria on the sidelines, making them unable to level with the public. Add to that at best a three year term in office, a donkey at the top and it's obvious nothing is going to change.

Just out of interest do you have children? If so will their only option for a home be social housing?

    No it's not a rule.

The UK cannot have stick without carrot. The UK systems for processing applications and dealing with requests is abysmal and we are reaping the benefits of the seeds that we sow.

As an example. The UK has agreed to take refugees from Ukraine. I have a refugee that wants to come here. She has her visa sorted (March) and is unlikely to get here untill July. She got to Italy within a week the only delay being the time to travel. How can everywhere else in Europe deal with requests in an instance whereas the UK finds every sort of road block possible.

The system is truly pathetic and driven by hysteria. Hysteria that whipped up by racist imagery of immigrants taking UK jobs at the same time as they scrounge off the state. If we put reception centres in hard to reach places, staff them with two people a dog, bottle of pop and a packet of crisps then they are going to get in a boat and cross the channel.

Could you manage a couple of Syrians as well? Might not pay so well though...

To some extent I agree, but come the election Labour will produce policies which they claim to have costed. As Yellow Bear has said, straight from the money tree, costed by their mathematical geniuses, Diane Abbott or Angela - I'm was a single mum at 18, from a council estate and left school with no O levels - Rayner.

Left school with no O levels, surely she should be working in a minimum wage menial type of job at best....

I wouldn't take anything off it. It might have been starved of light and growth, but it's also been protected from the elephants. Weakening it further by removing stuff could be fatal. I'd go with @ditchmanand give it nutrients at the base It will thicken over time and now the available light is from the other direction, should straighten out and give a more even canopy, which'll help with stability.

Certainly worth a go at saving

    Elephants? In Wales!
