  1. Extremely short sighted and like many a council, has jumped onto the bandwagon. Two or so years ago. Norwich City Council decided that it would make the Lord Mayors procession carbon free. Apart for a couple of Tesla cars. Of which one had difficulty in shutting its full wing doors, there we no other vehicles or floats. Instead of being a fantastic sight with a huge build up in the afternoon of all the floats max the crowds they drew, it was the most lane thing in the world. No atmosphere as and of the performances that would have used a clot or sound system, had to drag on a cart a pathetic little music pa. It was over in a matter of minutes instead of the hours it used to take for all of the floats to pass. Not one spectator that we spoke to or overheard, had enjoyed it and vowed to stay away. Roll on to last Sept when I visited my parents in Sussex when they had their Carnival. Floats, sound systems, bonfire societies etc and the best part, crowds lining the streets. What have we done to our traditions, we haven’t moved on to a greener alternative, we have killed it for future generations. Want another daft thing, in my vocation, they are trying to eliminate ‘contrails’ due to the environmental global warming impact that they may have. So get this, to mitigate, we have planners who look at alternative and sometime longer routes, plus flying lower to try and reduce these contrails- both of these actions, actually use more fuel and hence, have a greater environmental impact. You couldn’t make it up!
  2. A1 stamped on the receiver lhs. Much thicker barrel, metal safety and trigger guard and if it’s over here, then it will also have a four inch barrel extension.
  3. Just remember, if anyone ever has or comes across a Mossberg 590 A1 ( must be the A1). Then I will take it for sure, it’s the one model missing from my Mozzy collection.

4350—— why oh why am I not due down your way. That with 178gr A-max was my most accurate load ever. If there was ever a PW ‘courier service’ then yes please.

    Smart meter?

In addition to my post, was referring to the minimal draw of the display unit as I believe John is correct in that the meter power is on the incoming supply.

    Smart meter?

Really. May I suggest some further research is in order, except for point number 4, but the draw is minimal as is your cordless phone or broadband router!
  7. Know that, but was ‘asking for a friend’ 🤣
  8. What if it’s a semi 🤔 What if it’s a semi 🤔 Just start close and move back is what I do.
  9. In all fairness. That’s a round trip of 130 miles with an average car returning 40mpg with fuel around the £1.42 mark, then you have added on £25 for only a relatively few carts. Economies of scale and our dear TC likes to go grand 😉
  10. Depends on one’s perspective and definition of ‘long way’ 😉🤣

Or just spout a load of profanity like Ditchy does and they will be straight onto you.
  13. Our local is £6 for cod and then either £2 or £2.50 for chips. Battered sausage is £1.30. Not too bad and always super busy.

Terrible news, but good luck with your treatment 👍🏻🤞🏻
  15. Jacamo. They ( or so I am informed 😉), seem to have the brands they stock, manufactured to have ‘normal’ neck and sleeve sizes. But are cut a bit longer and more generous around the midriff.

Well. It was heaving in the City and if everyone was paying the sort of monies we did for things like hotdogs at £8 a pop, then I’m sure the traders of the City of London will be very pleased.

They are ******* indeed and the pain really isn’t commensurate with their size. Good luck with future treatments.

Brilliant. But did you see me too? My youngest was photographed in Piccadilly as he insisted on being patriotically dressed ( woman on the tube 🚇 discreetly took pics and many were smiling) Having seen the King on the Mall on the Friday by pure chance as we popped there to check out the crowds, we returned yesterday morning in the rains, to find that they had barricaded the area off. Popped on up to Trafalgar Square, but that too had steel security barriers stopping entry and any views. So I put my ‘Planning head’ on and quickly thought of timings and angles etc, then came up with a plan to view ‘something’ from the London Eye. Quick online booking and dash from Charing Cross to Waterloo East, had us there and on the Eye for just before one. as we crested over the top we got to see the carriage passing Westminster Abbey and along past Downing Street, whilst simultaneously taking in the London skyline. Wife and kids were super happy and it earned me some much needed brownie points for pulling that glimpse off ( yes, I know you saw more and kept warm and dry in front of the telly). Then back across the river to Trafalgar in the hope of the flypast occurring, but checking Freedar.uk and the LHR metars for the cloud base, I knew it wasn’t going to be as hoped. But we got some whirly bird activity followed by the ‘Reds’. All in all, a very tired Jaymo family, but content which is all that matters. Now today is serving teas to the old dears at the village hall for their ‘event. Oh to take a day to sit and do nothing! But that would be boring 😉

We as a family are travelling there for the weekend. Whether we see or hear anything is another matter, but not being as old as most of you grumps here, I didn’t see the 52 one so May as well try and make this one, even if we spend the weekend traipsing from boozer to boozer.

    Mystery object

Aaah, do you remember the good ole days before the ghost town.
  21. You could get the 490 bus to Hatton Cross and then jump on the Tube which will take you to LHR ( all terminals). You can walk from the stadium to Hounslow and catch the tube, but it’s about fifty mins walk. Either way, if you only have 2 1/2hrs from match finish, to departure, you’re going to have to leave early. Me? I would Uber it.
  22. Hear hear…. May it generate in excess of its worth for this worthy cause.
  23. Exactly. Along that stretch around Leominster, there are sections that border fields which aren’t populated with trees or other planting. Im always amazed by natures ability to regenerate and I’m sure that the site today, looks a lot more established and acceptable had the agency only just got involved. Look at any building project during construction and it’s an eyesore, but given a few months and things all start blending in. Personally, I do not feel that his sentence is justified.
  24. Money going to charity you say? Ok, will offer £20 but I do not wish for any of it- sell it on for whatever you can get? Say you get £20, then you’re definitely winning. On another note, condolences for your loss of your Brother.
