Yes it single feed. they did at the time make a wind up mechanism to fit into the shell but they proved to be useless and are very very very rare to find. The one I did see go in auction for was worth more than the rifle itself!

It is basically the metal magazine with the internals taken out for the empty brass to drop into. It’s worth the wait😉 it’s a reluctant sale.
