  1. Got docs report, no issues basically. I took it in personally on 13 Apr. I emailed station on Friday 23rd and asked about developments. got a reply stating that I will get a call in due course to arrange a home visit. So won't hold my breath. I need some advice on a starter gun. Luckily, my budget is about 2k or so. I've been looking at Beretta s/p and Browning 525/725. I've had a couple of lessons at the club, and have asked about gun fitting, so any advice on that would be welcome. Thanks for your time and replies guys
  2. Still waiting for The Report from Docs! Rung five times asking if it's been done. I took the letter in on 20 March, they just keep fobbing me off with 'Nhs comes first'.....Rant rant!
  3. Thanks for the welcome folks. Just waiting for a call from Docs. On my SGC application, I had to put that I was on sick for a time last year with work-related stress. I'm 65 by the way, worked as Support Worker for Adults with learning difficulties for 30 years, and just needed a bit of time off actually, which he probably guessed. After 2 or 3 months on sick, I decided to take early retirement, which my employers were fine with. Doc was really supportive, (I didn't need any treatment medication wise) So Firearms unit want a report on my medical state etc. I know I shouldn't be unduly worried, but still feel a bit apprehensive. Sorry for the long post, but anyone else had this situation? Thanks for your patience. Alb. (Alan)
  4. Hi, first post on here. I've been shooting air rifles a few years but just applied for SGC. looking for a decent entry-level shotgun, Beretta or Browning pref. I would appreciate any tips or pointers given. Thanks folks
