  6. A picture of my 3 guns.I did post on another thread but think it was the wrong one. Top one is my HW100 in .177 which I have been using for the last 3 years to get rid of rabbits at my permission. Just got my FAC and SGC 2 weeks ago so got a Browning A bolt Gold Meddalion .22 rimfire which is the middle gun, this fires sweet and does really good groups at 75 yards.I just love the woodwork on this rifle. It has accounted for 10 rabbits already. All taken between 40 and 60 yards. The bottom one is my Kestrel side by side 12 bore.I got it 2 days ago from a friend.I used it under his supervision a few months ago for the first time and fell in love with it after getting a few rooks.Just need to get down the clay ground now and get some practice in.

    BBQ

I do Bananas on the BBQ .Leave them with the skin on and cut length ways 3/4 of the way through them.Put a line of chocolate buttons in and fill to the top with brandy. When cooked just put some golden syrup over them

  15. Thanks for the reply Flynn. I was shooting slightly uphill as there was a very large hill behind as a backstop and the best place on my permissions to test the rifle.I left the target where it was and moved my rifle back each time. The rifle was on a Bi-pod and had a sandbag under the but for suport and to make steady. I have been looking online most of the afternoon and found a video on U tube explaining the problem I have.It was mentioned it could be my Rifle scope mounts which could be twisting my rifle scope one way or the other!!(is that what you class as CANT)?.I will check that out if only to eliminate that from being the problem.
  16. Hiya all. Last week I got my SGC and FAC through. On Sunday I purchased a Browning A bolt Gold Medalion .22 from a friend who had been holding on to it for me for the last 4 months. Sunday evening I went to my permissions to zero it in and test different types of rounds..Winchester x Bullets in the blue box did not want to group at 50 yards. The new Winchester sub sonic in the black box were good, but even better were the Elly subs. After zeroing at 50 yards I moved back to 75 yards and shot 5 rounds. All landed about 1.5" below and 2" to the right.I can understand why the drop but not why they went to the right!!!.So I adjusted my zero by 4 clicks to the left which brought it back on target. Then I moved to 100 yards and went 2.5 milldots hold under which was spot on.No adjustment needed. I cant see why the change between 50 and 75 yards?.I have a Tasco Varmint scope with front paralex adjustment.Maybe Its not working propaly and I am getting paralex error?Could anybody please shed some light on this.As I have only ever shot air rifles before. I have another scope I can use which is better than my Tasco. Its a MTC Mamba with side paralex adjust. This scope is excellent on my air rifle. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Pole star. Thanks for the heads up on that book ..I put some grated fresh ginger in my pheasant sausages I made a while back and it worked a treat.

  21. Hi Malligoat. Passed the inspection and the FLO even increased my ammunition that I wanted. She said I would get my licence in about 3 weeks max.Just needs the Police Superintendent or whoever to sign it and it will be sent off to me My friend has a Kestrel shotgun that I have used a couple of times which I will buy.Its only for hitting some pigeons and rooks. But am on the lookout for a rimfire and 17hmr.Another friend has a browning 22 lr which I am going to have a look at sometime in the next week.
  22. I just had my FLO come round and check my safe plus go through my paperwork.I had put down 150 17hmr rounds and 200 to buy/250 to keep of .22 expanding as I only go vermin shooting and not target. She decided to put down to Buy 500 and keep 650 and kept the 17hmr the same as I wanted. Should be about 3 weeks max until I get my SGL and FAC through.
  23. Made a load more today Ken plus some sausages with the same mix I used 12 rabbits to make this lot
