  1. I've just had a great experience & thought I would pass this on. My cousins son is 16 next month & he decided he'd like to try clay pigeon shooting. My cousin contacted me about going as a group of 6 offered the best value for money. Having held a shotgun certificate & regularly shot at game, pigeon & clays for almost 20 years I was unsure as to what I'd be able to learn. I found to my delight that Mike Williams at High Tower Shooting School & Ground in Sutton Bridge, Lincolnshire was an excellent coach. He approached each of us according to our skill levels, from absolute beginner to experienced shot we all had a great time. We all learnt a lot during the 2 hours, I thought it was very well priced as I guess we shot about 500 cartridges between us. Basically I'd strongly recommend Mike, he coached each of us in a very gentle & amusing manner, he also offers 1 to 1 tuition. Find his website at http://www.shooting4you.co.uk/groups/groups.htm or just search for High Tower Shooting School & Ground, Sutton Bridge
  2. Hi everyone, just a thank you to all the people who have been in touch. I have found a great stud dog at Millsey Gun Dogs near Lincoln, his name is Robbie, he's owned by Jim Milligan. We got a great reception when we visited, he loved my bitch & the dogs got on well at the 1st visit. She is about to come into season so Robbie will be doing his bit very soon. Jim was very enthusiastic about Cockers in general & was full of usefull information, he has a long & succesfull gun dog career. He will also be helping me with the training in due course. We spent a long time talking over hot coffees in front of his lovely wood burner, thanks Jim. Jim's website is easily found on Google. I will be keeping any contacts I have or will receive as I intend to breed from a bitch I will be keeping & training. Thanks again to everyone, Tim
  3. Wonder if anyone can help? I'm looking for a working Cocker Spaniel stud dog, I'm located in south Lincolnshire but can travel a sensible distance. I see so many stud dogs advertised but many are "Show Dogs" & as far as I'm concerned look almost nothing like my idea of a Cocker! I have a 2 1/2 year old dark tan bitch, bred from her last year for the 1st time & she has 8 fantastic pups, 3 blacks, 3 tans, 1 black roan & 1 tan roan. It was an easy mating & she made a great mother, we had no issues with the dog we used but thought we would try something different this year. Plus the fact we will be keeping a bitch this time around to train as well as possibly breeding from in the future. Any contacts or information greatfully received, thanks Tim
