  1. I'm a member there and have been for about 4 years. Mostly shoot on a saturday which is usually fairly quiet. Recent layout have been more taxing and on a par with what I see at registered shoots. £90 a year memebership and 25p a clay. Well run and cracking views on a clear day - you can see Wembley stadium and the Shard.
  2. I am left eye dominant and right handed but have shot left handed since I was young. My first gun I bought was a right handed Beretta 682 which has very little cast on the stock. As I have shot it more and more regularly this year 100-150 shots a round I have noticed two things a) the lack of a palm swell on the pistol grip and b) the cast of the trigger is to the right which after prolonged use does cause some rubbing on my trigger finger. The problem you will have is that L/H guns are harder to come by and likewise if you sell it your market will be much smaller. Just search for a popular gun on Guntrader.co.uk and then filter for left hand only. Most of the time you are talking about 5% are Left handers. So with that in mind I would say just get a right hander as long as it gives a decent fit. By the time you get to a level where it will make a real difference you will want to be buying a better gun anyway – maybe a new one. I have chopped my 682 in for a new 692 but am waiting for delivery still L
  3. Seems that the first batch of 30” sporter fixed stocks are going for around the £2550 mark. I was actually offered one at £2450 on pre-order by Cheshire Gun Room. Some of that first batch may still be hanging around in a few shops although I find that surprising as down here they literally flew off the shelves as soon as they arrived. If like me you wanted a Left Handed or Adjustable Stock or 32” version you have to wait for the later delivery ETA early/mid June. And by now GMK prices have risen by about £160 so the standard guns are being offered by most shops at around £2700 and the adjustable stock version at £3,000. I’ve ordered my L/H adjustable stock 30” from William Evans at Bisley. Wouldn’t drop the price but did give me a decent p/ex deal on my 682 classic (1985) and I know as one of a select few Premier Beretta dealers they have more weight with GMK on delivery stocks and god forbid should something be wrong with my 692. Roll on June!
  4. Where did you shoot a demo gun? Avalon guns in Somerset are taking pre-orders for around £2550 as apparently they will be the first to get them in stock. Cheshire Gun Rooms said they can do the fixed stock version from £2430 which seems a great price point if that is true. Everywhere else I asked said they expect stock at the end of the month but can’t confirm price. Being a lefty interested in an adjustable stock version I will be waiting a while anyway. But more than to try out a R/H demo gun. Cheers Simon
