  1. B725 I can see about 2 colours in the rainbow 😂. I’m in construction and if engineers put red spray on floor I have no chance. Has to be yellow or blue.
  2. B725 i really struggle with greens browns and reds. Maybe I’ll have to find some bright yellow ones to keep the cartridge police happy. But like I said this doesn’t excuse me for leaving the flapper battery which I apologise for.
  3. I always pick my cartridges up and yes if I mis a few in the grass like I said it’s down to my colour blindness. I’ve shot over 500 pigeon on that field in last 2 weeks .Mat just wondering are we talking maybe a handful of spent cartridges. Hold my hands up I shouldn’t of left the little flapper battery . Shot the field over 40 years and i would call it trespassing riding about on someone’s field in your landy .
  4. As I had over 300 shots I might of left a few in the grass what I missed. I’m colour blind so I have a job to see them all. You can keep the batteries. Have you got perm to be riding about on the field anyway
  5. Well done chaps great post from sunny Thailand 🌴

  12. It takes a lot of riding about in the car PC as you no to get good results unless you hit it lucky .That doesn't happy very often .
  13. Well, I've been busy this week. I've had my eye a rape stubble field since harvest, and there's been lots of birds building up on it. So I pulled a sicky and had a day off on Wednesday! I got to the field early and put all my flags and hi-vis coats out on the next fields, to keep the birds off those fields. I set my hide up, which was harvest net, in the middle of the field, and put laid rape around the net and the birds came into pattern immediately. I had a PB of 289 , and was bloody knackered by the time I picked up all the birds (Meg had a day off), but thanks to Chris for bringing in Jess to help! I eventually got home at 8 o'clock and wasn't long after that I went to bed!! Another thanks to my Dad for taking the birds to the Game Dealer Thursday night, I went for a walk with Meg, and had 8 flighting into the trees, so that was the decoys ready for Saturday. Friday night I was out on a recce and found a couple of disced rape field with a few birds about, lots of single birds back and forth, couldn't wait for Saturday! Got up early Saturday morning, and when I arrived there were about 100 birds on the field. I built a lovely hide under a large bush, which was perfect as it was really hot on Saturday, and was in the shade all day! I put my flags and hi-vis on the other field next door, as this was rape stubble as well. My mate Chris (and Jess) came and joined e, and we had birds coming in all day. We finished the day with 107 pigeons, and again, a big thanks to Jess for all her help (Poor old Meg - an all day session is just a bit much for her now.... she'd rather sunbathe in the garden) Sorry the photos aren't the right way....can't seem to rotate them!
  14. You enjoyed the day thats the main thing Steve.Well done
  15. JDog she's very understanding .She now's when it comes to pigeons she comes second bud.
  16. Yes, I am knackered, but what a day! This was a PB for me today and ended the day with 289 on the clicker. I must have lost a few with some walking off and a few getting over to the tree line. A big thank you to Chris for turning up with Jess (Meg as had a day off today, and now I realise how hard she works)! She found loads in the tree line for me. Cheers for Jess' services and for helping me pack up Chris :-) Off to bed now, to dream about pigeons.... or at least that what the wife tells me I do!!!
