  9. Hi P, hope your'e doing ok. You'll have no problem, as you just have your scope as you normally have it then put the adaptor on attach Pard then focus ocular on the pard. Then bring into focus using the wheel on the bottom of the Pard, You can then focus on your target with the side parallax. You then have the zoom on scope if needed and the digital on the pard so your eyes wont matter to much lol. Play with it mate it's a good bit of Kit. Knowing you you'll get it working fine ATB Steve
  10. Hi Mate, Iv'e used the Pard 007 on my .243 for two years now, no problems at all. Mine is the 16 mm though, you won't need added IR at the range you want to push out too, mines good to 200+ with the on board just make sure its pulled out. tighter beam but longer distance. Scope wise ,the least mag you can get, I had a 6.5 Hawke sidewinder on mine and it was to much mag, may be different on 12mm though. I also have the 008lrf on the triple and again no problems, give us a shout if I can help anymore. As an aside:- Just been given a Parker Hale .270 for use on my mate's farm on the isle of Mull. Happy days on the reds that get in his tree planting I hope.
  11. I've been told oowee, that a 150gr bullet going slow does similar or less meat damage than the 243 that I have been using, l can't comment yet but looking forward to finding out.
  12. First off I can't fault these for a variation turn around. I filled out my form and sent it RD, had a lady ring the next day to say I used the old form and she'd send me a new one by return, she did! I filled it out and sent back. I had the flo phone me the day he must have had it back to say he had no problem I varied for a Parker Hale .270 which my neighbour is giving me, a .270 mod and another .243 mod. he asked if I wanted a 308 or 30-06 I said I'm happy with the .270 for nought. we had a bloody good chat about different calibres and the types of quarry we both shot and that was it.variation is coming early next week about 9/10 days turnaround inc a weekend. So now to the guns and equipment question. If I have it threaded to tame it a little, for those who have a .270 what moderator do you think I should go for? or should I leave as is unmolested as it were, Thanks Steve.

Update on this chaps. apparently Tommyboy 40 has recently lost his father and has obviously hit him hard as it would do. He also has not been able to get on here lately to get back in touch with me. So I have done the man an injustice. I have sent him my email through Smokersmith (thanks for putting me in the picture) Hopefully we can sort it out now. PW working at it's best.

Does anybody know or have contact with the person in the title above. If you know him is he well? as according to a message I received from him just after Christmas he and his wife were self isolating. As we agreed, I bought and paid for two items he was selling before Christmas for a considerable sum. Now if he has been unwell I don't want to get to pushy, but if he hasn't then I will take it farther and involve the Police. So if you know him tell him to get in touch and we can sort this out before it escalates.
  18. Interested in these then, I reckon that an inch high at 100 will give me a zero of about 165 @ 2700 or thereabouts. sound about right? how are they in a 1;10 twist?
  19. Hi all. I've just inherited a Parker Hale .270 in good nick. I'm also lucky to have a mate on Mull with a farm and can go up anytime I like and especially if he gets reds in his trees.(he's planted loads of trees, a bit of a tree nut). We grew up shooting together but he now doesn't pull a trigger unless a deer is in his trees, but he'd rather I take that over so I said just give me a bell and I'd go up for a week or two's stay with the Mrs. I digress a bit so back to my question, for those that use the .270 what are they like? I load my own for my triple and .243 so not new to reloading so ask what bullet would be best? fast and flattish 130gr or slower thinking meat damage 150gr if they both go in the rifle, I'm thinking vhit 160 views please. thanks Steve.

  21. hi. what model is this please? or how old
  22. I have seen several, Two whilst lamping a few years ago, and one on Wells golf course witnessed by twelve guys in our society. When I asked the steward at the meal afterwards about it, he said a member had taken casts of footprints in the wood and sent it for identification the week before. I think I put a post on here about it, but you know what doubting Thomas's we have on here! and they won't believe unless they can stick their fingers in the holes lol. On the first one my lamping buddy was so scared he got back in the disco and wouldn't get back out. He'd been lamping with me for four years , that was his last outing with me.
