  1. Sorry guys that will teach me to finish reading the thread to the end before replying. Good to see it's all done and dusted
  2. I've been building all my life, and only had one bad one! give it some more time i expect it will turn out fine.(don't go in all guns blazing yet.) But if payment isn't forthcoming remind him that all the materials you used are still yours until paid for in full. You are within you rights to get them back. Not many people would like the mess left after you got them back (not very carefully). My one bad one was a huge natural stone wall that took weeks to do, the bloke wouldn't pay although he was loaded, said 'take me to court it'll take years to get your money' I let it drop, but strangely enough the wall got wiped out by a digger one night some weeks later.
  3. Click your fingers or clap your hands gently, behind the pup of your choice before buying. Make sure they don't know your there before doing it, you can have the best looking gundog in the world, but if it's deaf it can't hear the whistle for commands and is next to useless.

  9. Update/ Ruebs cooked half of them in a simple Rabbit stew ( veg stock, Pint of Scrumpy, bacon, tyme, seasoning, bay leaves, carrots, onions, and parsley dumplings. I have to say for simple food it was bliddy lovely and tasty, He's making a Rabbit curry Thai style with the rest he's just in the process of getting all ingrediants(spices and stuff up together) if it was anything like what we had tonight, i'm glad he's living with us now, as i don't know how i got to this age with my misses' cooking Steve
  10. Hi guys, my Daughter and boyfriend have just got back from a 10 month tour of everywhere! He has come to live with us now, he also is a superb cook (Bonus). During their tour they obviously experienced a lot of different types of cooking, and he thought he might experiment a bit so he asked me to get him a few Rabbits to start off with. So out I went tonight to try and oblige, strewth it was like daylight with the full moon. I hatched a plan to drive most of the stone tracks around my perms. The water pump on the Disco was squeeking like nothing on earth and there was so much lying water you couldn't go anywhere quietly, so after a wasted hour decided to give it best and go home, as luck would have it as I passed the last field, a small orchard I picked up a couple of sets of eyes and thought I'd try my luck. Dave my mate who I shoot with had brought his old Falcon So we thought we would try that instead of my rimmy. I really enjoyed trying to get up close enough to shoot, what with the fallen apples under your feet crunching as you stood on them, and falling over broken branches in the longish grass, and it being daylight as I said, We ended up laughing out loud at our attempts of stealth, To be honest with me and Dave it's all about enjoyment and not how much we shoot. It wasn't a total waste though as you can see Two 3/4 grown ones (good eating) and one a bit bigger, now it's up to Ruebs to see what masterpiece he can come up with, looking forward to eating the results. Steve

  17. Hi, Guys Just to say a big thank you for all your tips. I took everything apart and checked it, ports were clean could only get a little carbon out of them(and I mean specks) Nothing else jumped out at me that looked wrong, so gave it another clean although it already was. The only thing I added this time was a bit of Legia spray to everything and then a wipe off, Just been down the farm now and it recycled fine The reason I hadn't been oiling it was that I thought it would gum up, or that's what I was told way back. I'm very surprised it's taken this long to go wrong. Anyway many thanks to you all again.
  18. Roadstar Warrior XV1700 pc (Yamaha sports cruiser) Beast of a bike.
  19. Thanks for all the replies lads, sorry I haven't replied to any of you today but I had a funny five minutes. I was at my Bike club AGM, head started swimming felt sick as a dog,and the next thing i knew was That the paramedics were fussing all over me,and it was an hour later!!.They wired me up to an ecg machine and was sweating like a pig. Apparently Blood pressure had dropped stupidly and sats (watever they are) weren't on the scale. Long story short oxygen mask on and started feeling a bit better after 15 mins. I had hells own work to convince them not to take me to hospital in the ambulance. Docs tomorrow for check up!. My mates took my keys off me so I couldn't ride home, but in truth I wouldn't have been that stupid, Thanks for all the tips again lads and I'll pit them into practice tomorrow.
  20. Hi Remmyman, thanks for that I'll check the vent holes tommorrow . But i could see light coming through them when shining a torch.
  21. GingerCat, The recoil spring has never been replaced as far as I am aware, When I take it back I will ask him to check it. Makes me wonder if they know what they are doing, don't want to chuck good money after bad ,thats why I thought I'd ask the question.
  22. I'll Try my best to describe it chaps. As i said before I've had this gun for years and had no problems, when it started to go wrong I noticed that the spent cartridge was getting caught in the breach. with the bolt closing on it leaving it half in and half out and thus not letting the next cartridge up. Then it seemed to work sometimes and not others. Recently it's been fireing the first shot only, and when you pull for the second you just get the firing pin clicking on the empty cartridge that is still there. I can't see if the bolt slides back and does not eject or if the bolt doesn't slide back at all because I'm looking at the target. As I said earlier the recoil spring returns the (keeper)? fine and when stripped down I can push the spring into the stock all the way with a dowl and it pushes right back again, it all seems to work properly when you work it by hand , but not when fireing the gun . Oh by the way I use 32grm cartridges. Underdog to answer your questions, 1, no, 2, no 3, no Sorry not much help am I
  23. Just stripped the gun down and taken the trigger out and the cup if you know what I mean pushes in ok and the spring in the stock pushes it back out again, Can't move the screw in the stock though?
