    MK38 Sporter

I'm looking for a 32ins MK38 Sporter if anyone has one in a cupboard they don't want.
  4. Instruction manuals are a last resort when you cant get things to work. Always been the same.
  5. It's probably still being used today and is likely to be worth more than the price you paid new. They don't make them like they used to!
  6. A Beretta AL390 is a really good auto, better than the 391 and subsequent models. They didn’t improve on them until the 400Excel in my opinion. They can be had for reasonable money now and if you can find a low mileage one for less than £500 it would be a good buy.
  7. I’m turned 70 now and still enjoy driving. Fast Beemers or Mercs by preference. I’m aware of my limitations and drive accordingly. What concerns me is that the renewal of my license requires me to state that my eyesight is to the legal standard- yes or no? I’m going to say yes of course, which it is. But does everyone else answer as honestly?
  8. A few years ago I took a customers DT10 to a gunsmith to have both chokes removed. They hadn’t been out for some years. They were solid. After a few attempts with various wrenches and tools the oxy-acetylene torch was used and the end of the barrels were glowing red. Both ribs popped off and solder was bubbling from the holes. Eventually the chokes came out looking like a length of swarf from a lathe. The ribs were re-layed and the barrels blacked. The threads were re-cut and the job was absolutely perfect. I gave the gun back to the customer and he complained that he would have to find some new chokes as the gun was going back to GMK - it was sponsored. The customer was AJ Smith and the gunsmith was Patrick Croft.
  9. Got it thanks. That Blaser is cheap, surprised he cant shift it. Doesn't use Guntrader though does he?
  10. I agree. Picked up a 30” B2G the other day and was immediately transported back 30 years to when all we ever wanted was a B25. It was a quality gun and felt right - know what I mean? Their current market values are an absolute bargain £2.5k/£3.5k will buy a good one. New price - £12k+? Makes Blasers and CGs look like poor value in my opinion.
  11. Its a Teague, as you can see from the pic.
  12. I have a 3/8 flush you can have for £25 delivered
  13. Let’s not go down there.........😀
  14. A bad job altogether. Such a shame.
  15. What’s the saying? “ Don’t believe anything you hear and only half of what you see” 🤪
  16. I think that strengthens my case Harry🙂
  17. No, I think Farage is a nutcase and has nothing whatsoever to contribute to our society.
  18. I couldn't drink that if they were giving it away. So wrong on so many fronts.
  19. Our local butcher sells his own snake and pigmy pie and they are fantastic! With chips and proper mushy peas ie. soaked overnight, it is a feast to behold. Not bad with mash and various veg either.
  20. Just been given a Merc EQB 4x4 as a courtesy car. First time in a fully electric motor and what a revelation! Quiet, smooth and quick enough to upset the Beemers. Regenerative braking is novel - take your foot off the throttle and it feels like the brakes are on. 200 mile range so they are slowly getting there. A lovely thing - but then for £58k it ought to be.
  21. Funny how things change. These guns used to be considered heavy and lumpy thirty years ago. Pick one up now and they feel very useable and handy.
