    Beretta 391 end cap

    Thanks, I'll have a look
  3. I’m looking for weighted end cap for a 391, although I think one from a 390 will fit. Trying to get some weight into the front to stop it waving about!
  4. Most gunshops have a box full of used pads. I'll be surprised if you cant find what you need.
  5. Lovely cars despite the pitfalls we all hear about. Keep a couple of grand in the gun cabinet if you buy it, just in case.

    Statins

I've been on statins for 15 years after a couple of heart jobs. On no account stop taking them, if you have a problem then persevere with your GP until you reach a satisfactory conclusion. They will extend your life and its worth taking the trouble to sort it out.
  7. Size 58 on the label. It fits me and I'm a 48ins chest in a jumper. Complete with a hood. Warm and waterproof. As new, hardly worn, no tears or marks, clean. £50.00 posted UK mainland.
  8. Thanks for the opinions. I’ll make my mind up eventually I suppose!
  9. That BMW six pot diesel is a fantastic motor. I had a 330D before this one and it had been remapped to 340bhp, what a machine that was! I’m the wrong side of 70 now but driving quick motors is still a pleasure - even if the ride is a bit hard!
  10. That’s interesting. You obviously like the car. I have an X3 3.0 M Sport and I’m finding the firm ride a bit tiresome as I grow older. I love the performance and the ground clearance is useful. I just think I might solve the problem with conventional tyres.
  11. Thanks. I’ll have a look
  12. My car needs four new tyres and is currently on run flats. No escaping the fact that they give a firm ride. I'm considering changing to conventional tyres with a pump and a can of foam in the boot. Any thoughts?
  13. Northallerton Shooting have traps next to the shop and will always let you try guns. Ask for Andy - 01845 587207
  14. If you run a shooting ground and wish to tap into the CPSA membership (currently 22,500) then you hold registered shoots. You are then part of the infrastructure of grounds who treat clayshooting in a very different way to affiliated grounds or those who just gather together on a Sunday before going home for lunch. Scores are recorded, and it's the only way to progress to shooting for your county to then eventually shooting for your country. If you don't wish to be part of this then perhaps the CPSA is not for you.
  15. I took my test in a Land Rover 55 years ago and I’ve owned various models since. Good and bad in all honesty, Freelander 2 was the most reliable and Disco 3 the least. Had Mercs too and had loads of trouble. Shame to see it go all the same.
  16. So JLR are dropping the Land Rover brand and intend to market different models by their own name - Defender, Discovery etc. Can't see this being a positive move somehow. Land Rover must be one of the strongest brands in the world.
  17. When you eventually get it back together, next time you want to clean it don't b*gger about like this. Just clean the thing and leave the gun cocked, I promise you, it will not hurt it.
  18. Maybe your county CPSA would have been a better bet. At least they are local and if they are on the ball would have jumped at the opportunity to help. But its done now so maybe next year?
  19. If you go to your local gun shop they will probably give you what you want foc. The market for hammer side by sides is hardly buoyant.......
  20. Why not try Bywell? Maybe they could help you
  21. Scully my friend, I just think the previous owner/retailer could have explained how the gun operated before the o.p. was let loose to find out on his own.
  22. Bit scary really don’t you think?
  23. A 32ins F16 weighs less than 8lbs so recoil from some bumpy cartridges is going to be uncomfortable. For a competition gun shooting 100+ in one go its hardly heavy enough.
  24. MK38 grade 3's are almost as expensive as a grade 5 in some instances. Keep your options open, there are some cheap grade 5's about at the moment and most of those on sale are open to offers.
