I have someone coming around tonight for them. If for some reason they no show then the first person offering the asking price (plus postage) to PM me, gets them.

I don't think any footballer should be knighted. They are far too well rewarded for what they do and do not really provide benefit to the country as a whole. it is just a way to get teh public on side and show the Royals touch with the common man. However, saying that, if you have to give one to a footballer, old Goldenballs is probably the best candidate.

You may only get 5 or 10 years out of an individual HD, but you are unlikely to keep the same HD for 10 year anyway, you just copy the images over to a new HD as you buy them. I have 4 copies of my images. 1.My working copy on my PC, 2. In the cloud, 3. A HD backup at home 4. A HD Backup at work.

The governments thinking was they only wanted you to kill a maximum of 3 people before someone jumped on you and stopped you.

Although the conkers keep the spiders away, the mice love them.

Be careful with moisture traps and silica gel - I have heard that they can dry out the wood on your stock causing issues. The VP90 is my recommendation.

No I would not, and I would not expect an ambulance driver to direct traffic or pursue a criminal either. The story says that there were two police officers, I would expect that one would drop of the patient and park the car in the correct place whilst the other one takes the patient in, just like you or I would do.

What makes them special on the parking front? I have taken my kids to A&E here and had no choice but to pay in the car park and walk. The police do it, because they can get away with it.

Muffs or Ear Plugs - the health of hearing!
Milkfloat replied to Towngun's topic in General Shooting Matters
I thought it was well known that sound is transmitted through your bones and that all things being equal muffs are better than plugs. However I guess a lot of it comes down to how much shooting you are doing if are deciding between muffs and plugs. Personally I shoot about 100-150 carts a week and have decided to use plugs in summer and muffs in winter. -
Registering a complaint about a RFD aka gun shop
Milkfloat replied to karpman's topic in General Shooting Matters
I am confused - so you feel ripped off and rather than demanding your money back are going to give them more money to fix the problem? -
Pop down your local clay ground and try and shoot a round or three of skeet. You will have a nice mix of going away, incoming but crucially lots of crossers and quartering birds from different angles.

Both eyes open when shooting a shotgun?
Milkfloat replied to Monkey Nuts's topic in General Shooting Matters
Yes - Easy Hit bead or similar. I have one and am still trying to see if it works or not. If I try and 'rifle aim' then it works - but seeing as it is a shotgun I should be pointing and swinging - so it is not working too well for me. I will persevere a while longer. -
I don't want to worry you - but take a look at it is exactly the same locking mechanism. This shows from about 4 mins in shows the engineering, or lack of behind it.

Sensationalist gun ownership reporting
Milkfloat replied to aris's topic in General Shooting Matters
It is not really a story - I read it and thought, so what why bother printing it? -
Liver function test will tell them if you are an alcoholic even if you have not drunk for some time.

Cheap Oxfordshire Cartridges
Milkfloat replied to Cyrus1988's topic in Bullets, Cartridges and Reloading
I am not sure if William Powell have any of the RC 2 left - but worth a call. http://www.williampowellcartridges.com/cheap-cartridges.html -
Set found - thanks for the offers that came in.

Any none hunters (or anti hunters) on here?
Milkfloat replied to Animal Mother's topic in General Shooting Matters
Back to the original topic - I am very surprised that non-shooting anti's are not on the forum all the time arguing and making a nuisance of themselves. I would have thought that PW would be a huge target for the anti's with all sorts of problems occurring from malicious threads to hacks of the forum. Does this ever happen? -
I could see foreign being of relevance because there may be a language barrier or a perceived training difference - not sure about sex being of relevance - maybe I am just too PC.
-
Any relevance that she was female?
-
How very tolerant of you. Don't set that precedent or Spain will ship back all the British old codgers that moved there to retire in the sun. I don't want them gumming up our roads, nursing homes and hospitals.

For those dipping their toes into macro I can heartily recommend the Raynox DCR-250 clip on lens. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Raynox-DCR-250-Macro-Attachment/dp/B000A1SZ2Y It may look cheap and tacky but take a look at the pictures in this thread to see what it can do. http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=232617
