  1. No need to shout - you did not say that in your initial post. Even if something is on sale or return / or a commission sale i think you will find it is the correct procedure to charge a fee anyway. Advertising - shop space - potential cleaning - All cost
  2. Counted 62 ducklings this morning and i know of at least half a dozen broods still to hatch
  3. Why would he let them go without his fee being paid however ? You dont go shopping to ASDA and dont pay ? I would maybe engage with him and tell him of the misunderstanding and hopefully like most people in business he will be sensible and fair in his response
  4. Thanks Walker Looking well -so it is ! Got ducklings on most of the ponds now too !
  5. Hi mate Im sorry i didnt read it properly ! Would you post this - i know it says collected and apologies for asking !
  6. Good afternoon Can i ask dimensions please?
  7. Respectfully - he is your friend - you know him and how he will react better than anyone
  8. The thing with many ground nesters is they actually dont want much cover - they use camoflauge to evade predators You would have little idea they were there. You may disturb their parents and this leaves the chicks / eggs - open to predation As i say - i would never threaten to shoot a dog over it - but i do engage with several walkers each week / day advising of the above - usually politely !
  9. Also got alloy one and thats just as good - just a little heavier - but not much in it really
  10. Yes agreed Ditchy It is a matter of common sense / the countryside code and a respect for our wider environment that we should keep dogs on leads at this time
  11. Can you not assemble and fit snap caps into the barrel and these will push the pin back as you close the gun ?
  12. Yes - just ask for your money back
  13. If you want the honest answer - having your dog off the lead during bird nesting and mammal breeding season as a countryman is totally out of order. Would i ever advocate shooting a dog - No - possibly never - but to have your dog off the lead at this sensitive time of year is irresponsible. Spoken as a landowner and a chap with 3 crazy cockers - that stop in or on the lead for these few sensitive months Good on the daughter for caring
  14. What gun is it - many have floating pins that will move back if the gun is assembled vertically
  15. Thats fair enough - i did not mean it to be a disrespectful comment - its just where we shoot they are out in 10 acres of grass in many areas burying their wares
  16. Squirrels will go into the fields quite a lot actually Mice
  17. 5 this morning on a stroll about with the 12 Gauge TOTAL 946
  18. I feed meal worms - ducklings hoover them up
  19. Make the habitat better - feed - control the predators Before just releasing more birds
