I use an old sog seal pup in the shoot bag and a Swiss army knife in the pocket. I know that if I spend loads on a blade I will just lose it.

I have a remington 11-87 and it's never failed me. Love it. I also have a hatsan pump action synthetic for the pigeons. Both guns are keepers will never get rid of either of them . Hatsan cost 180 remmy I swapped for a baikal.

I used to be a butcher many moons ago I was shown a way to put a very good edge on a blade. After stoning and honing I use the top edge of a car window. Half a dozen gentle strokes either side had a blade with a fantastic edge.

I looked at getting on and after driving it I decided to get a chevrolet captiva instead.

I recently bought a captiva auto. It's my first auto and I didn't really want that gearbox but now I have got used to it I'm wondering why I didn't get one years ago. Mpg is about 40 ish on the motorway and about 30 around town. Haven't had chance to get it muddy yet but I will do at some point.

I have finally managed to get perms!!after years and years of trying have managed to get shooting only 3 miles from where I live. I am so over excited I'm like a 6 year old on Christmas Eve. I have bought a decoying kit from A1 and have a slab of carts.so now I just need to get into the fields and see what happens. I would be over the moon with just a single bird. Fingers crossed. RC
