  1. Well a variation in Hampshire took 4 calendar months, they received it on 19th April and emailed on 18th August to say its been processed and send my FAC in (sent duplicate) and they will post new FAC out.
  2. Also Citizen service center do a fab job at reasonable prices (new glass fitted £15 + vat) and to ensure a long life do a full service to watch every 5/6 years.
  3. Try Sparshot College near Winchester I believe they do game keeping courses.
  4. I have done a deal with Tomto in the past real nice guy with a lovely Springer
  5. Top man to deal with many thanks
  6. Depending on the size I might be interested in this as my ammo safe is a little cramped now as my collection grows. Also is it wall mounting. Regards John
  7. If there was low water pressure as there was back in the 50s where I live it might be 3/4 inch pipe and therefore a 3/4 BSP thread and therefore you would require a 3/4 to 1/2 inch BSP reducer.
  8. My 1st shotgun was a Russian single barrel 12 bore bought for me on my 16 birthday when I got my shotgun cert (white linen paper) back in 1972. Still have it and goes out rabbiting and rough shooting as it has a sling and is light so while walking though the fields not so heavy on the arms (but does have a kick but always been use to it), and was taught that if a pigeon takes 2 shots its getting an expensive lunch.
  9. Bullet wallets arrived to day must say what top quality items they are many thanks to Mrs Mel for a cracking job.
  10. Get hold of ebay report it asap, change password on ebay and paypal if you have it.

    Catapults

Still got mine wjth 3/8" rubber and my grandfathers with 1/4" rubber and tongue from a shoe for the pebble holder with a hole in center to locate missile being used.
  12. Hi would the wallet for 308s take the good old .303 ammo as I might have a .308 and a .223 wallets.
  13. Well my gun club on joining before you even get on the range as a probationary member you have to go though a gun safety/handling, mis fire, commands given and whatt they mean and actions to be taken in club house. Then taken to firing point and go though what you went though in club house using rifle and live ammo under 1 to 1 supervision with Range Officer covering mis fire, how to leave rifle when the stop stop stop order given, how to carry rifle correctly on firing point etc.
  14. Hampshire Police state 11 weeks for FAC variation.
  15. Hope Hampshire police can be as fast but been 3 weeks now and they quoted 11 weeks to me, I am not holding my breath as if it is 11 weeks then so be it.
  16. As said above possible loose or broken wire in a switch/light fitting or in a joint box needs to be investigated with a voltage/continuity tester to find loss of supply.
  17. When I had a shooting permission on a large estate the main targets was foxes, squirrels, jays, mink, rabbits, rooks and crows.
  18. Totally agree reloading is very addictive and very satisfying as a hobby to accompany your passion for shooting.
  19. To be fair a Lee powder throw works on volume which is what I use and check volume using a balance beam scales (no battery to go flat) and find it very easy. But as stated once you start reloading it gets addictive as I started out buying a 2nd hand Lee 4 turret press with .308 dies and soon bought .303 and .223 as I acquire other calibres.

    Jury service

I was called up and firm I work for got me released the 1st time the 2nd time they cancelled as a long cases were running and the 3rd time no getting out of it and sat on 2 cases in 2 weeks and released early as I knew a witness on the last case so told to go as I had been released
  21. I wanted a P14 as my grandfather was in the home guard in WW2 as he was to young to fight in WW1 and to old in the second. Every time I found one before I could view it, it was sold, Then a Mk5 came up for sale local and my uncle done national service in the 1950s in Changi barracks with the RAF and this model fitted that era as it was a jungle carbine so I got it and that was £700 (in very good condition all numbers matching). I warn you it kicks like a mule but its fun to shoot and looks very different to the earlier .303s as its shorter has a flash eliminator.
  22. Piece of pipe insulation and gaffer tape temp fix to try then you get the answer.
