  1. Sorry my mistake meant to write neck resizing die
  2. Starting to reload some .303 and I have full length resizing die, bullet seating die and factory crimp die. What I am looking for is a neck crimping die for fire formed brass from my rifle. If someone has one not being used please let me know by PM. I would be grateful. Regards John
  3. Does anyone have a bench rest for a rifle (not bags) eg cast iron base that's not needed any more if so I am looking for one.
  4. Thanks that is very interesting point you made how far off of lands do you aim for 10 thou close enough?
  5. Thanks for the advise I will ask you gentlemen a question when you resized did you full length resize or just neck as the die set I bought has both full length and neck sizing.
  6. Recently bought a second hand set of .223 dies would like to have a .223 factory crimp die as well if there is one out there looking for a new home please feel free to get in touch. Regards John
  7. As above big and deep as pocket will stretch to.
  8. When I applied for FAC after becoming full member of a rifle club I put in for .22 rim fire, .223/5.56, .243,.308/7.62, .303. Always put both cals down for .223 and .308 as you will only be able to buy what's on the rifle. FEO knocked me back on the .243 as I had a choice either .308 or .243 not allowed 2 deer cals. As for ammo I put in for 1000 .22 rim fire as bulk buying works out cheaper and got, 500 of .223/5.6, 300 of .303 and 300 of .308/7.62. As for reloading that's all I have done with .308 and will be with .303 and .223 as stated it does work out cheaper and more accurate compared to cheap ammo. The fire arms dealer will only need to see your FAC for primers and expanding bullet heads and records any sells of manufactured ammo on your FAC.
  9. Shame great offer but to far away.
  10. I paid mine off early which had been fixed rate waited till the early repayment clause was less than the interest that I would have paid if the mortgage ran full course there is no way around it.
  11. Lovely looking dogs doing what they are good at.
  12. To far away from me afraid. I have a Mk5 Enfield thats a carbine as well would be nice.
  13. Found this on my gun club forum thought it might be of use here. https://www.change.org/p/council-of-the-european-union-eu-you-cannot-stop-terrorism-by-restricting-legal-gun-ownership?recruiter=false&utm_source=share_petition&utm_medium=copylink Have a look and sign if you feel strong about us being hard done by.
  14. Any one used Vit 140 powder in a .223 if so what weight heads did you use.
  15. I'm afraid to tell you I double dislocated fractured my ankle 7 years ago and after being in a cast for 3 months after surgery to plate and screw my ankle back together and not allowed to put weight on it as I tore all the ligaments in my ankle as well, it still hurts like hell if I over do it asked the doc about it a few years back and was told "you seriously damaged your ankle what do you expect " so I would not over do it and I have found that I can work flat out on it for about 4 hours then rest up was the best way to go. I know where you coming from its very frustrating after being able bodied and then find you are not.
  16. I have had a SGC for 40+ years and have just gone FAC as well, on FEO visit all ok but did suggest a wireless alarm with a sensor in downstairs entrance hallway and on 1st floor landing, just as a bit extra as he said you could have up to 11 firearms on premises so just got alarm, and had it add on my record all ok and easy to set up so its all good. Only done it to keep FEO on side.
  17. I believe you need to join a rifle club that has been cleared for full bore eg 30 cal and not small bore eg .22
  18. When I bought my .308 in London the last Christmas I was wandering around the streets and the underground with a drag gun bag on my back to get back to Waterloo, never saw any police but did get some funny looks at Waterloo looking for correct platform to come back down south.
  19. Do Sussex spaniels come in multi coloured eg liver and white as this might be the same as a spaniel we use to have but we where miss lead to its breed being told he was a Cumberland Rough. Is a Sussex slightly smaller than a English springer and a lighter build ours could retrieve most game but had to drag a hare very hard working dog best we ever had.
  20. After looking at another post on here on Field Spaniels there was a pic put up of a Sussex Spaniel and to be honest it looks very similar to the one we use to have as it has a mop on top of head and looks same build and face looks similar the only difference was owes was liver and white. Perhaps the so called expert who told us he was a Cumberland rough didn't know what he was on about.
  21. Well I looked on line and found a Clumber Springer my mistake as I was told it was a Cumberland rough as it had a curly mop on top of its head
