  1. As per my post am available for Friday. Just need location and start time.beat and shoot most weeks throughout the season so know what's expected.
  2. As I am not shooting or beating this weekend would be delighted to come along and assist.Know the area well but could you be more specific on location as there are several farms off Rands Road. I live about 25 minutes away.
  3. Why not try the KWCA ? They are in your part of the world and have plenty of shooting ( including pigeons ) in both Kent and Essex.Call into John Forsey a Guns at Welling and have a chat .
  4. I have sold and putrchased guns over the last few years and just emailed the appropriate information to my local force ( Essex) . I always ask for confirmation which when received can be printed off and produced if necessary..Some years ago I sold a gun and sent the details by recorded post .I only found out this letter had not been received when the firearms officer came round to inspect my guns (,when my certificate was up for renewal).I had the certificate of posting and the details of the guy who bought the gun so there was no real problem.Just supply the same information as you would in a letter.
  5. BASC offers a days wildfowling with several clubs on the south coast.Check their website.
  6. Bull dog, Dave Sims at Ongar.Nice guy fair and fast.Must say that over the years I've found the local FEO and the staff at Springfield very helpfull in dealing with all aspects of licensing. Pity other forces can't be as efficient as Essex.
  7. Bull dog things must have become much worse since July when my local FO ( Essex) called to inspect security and collect both my FAC and SGC renewal forms .That was on the Tuesday and I received both new certs Saturday morning. That's what's I call service.
  8. Hi, best of luck to you.I have been after additional shooting for my small club for the last year.we have funds available but in this part of the country (Essex/Herts ) shooting is very hard to obtain. Virtually every square inch is shot by someone. If you do hear of anything that's either too big or too expensive perhaps you would be kind enough to pass the details on. Tollerman.
  9. It appears that the club I have knowledge of operates under much stricter policy regarding their support for an FAC applicant and probationary periods. The club is in the Home Counties.I would suspect there is no hard and fast rule and its up to the individual club.As I stated earlier my own request for a .22 for rabbit control was granted in a matter of weeks.Must go as I am up at 3am to shoot a few of the aforementioned.
  10. If you already have a shotgun certificate and somewhere suitable to shoot say rabbits then obtaining a FAC should(as in my own case) only take a matter of weeks.Joining a rifle club it may take up to a year before the Police will consider allowing you to own your own weapon.
