  1. Wish I had one that's between 9 - 13 inches and tilts and swivels!
  2. Thanks, ant.mass. It did the trick. Also thanks to everyone else who has helped. Much appreciated.
  3. Thanks. I'll try it tonight when I get in from work. Failing that, 2 SG 8's may sort it!
  4. Shot? It's still sitting on the branch. Excellent photograph again. I've just bought a Canon 50D with extra's. Can't wait to try it out.
  5. Further to my last post regarding my PC running slow etc, (it's a bit faster now) I am now, when starting up the PC, getting a 'Windows Live Essensials' page, asking me to log on. Despite trying to remove this annoying thing, using the Add/Remove program in Windows XP, it refuses to delete! Is there another way to get rid of this program. Thanks Steve.
  6. Permission for.22LR refused because of public footpaths nearby. I have an open ticket, but my mate, who applied, has not. This may have been the governing factor? I'm not against air rifles, I think most of us started out with one. Me, though, started my 'shooting life' with a very high powered, .177 GAT.

    Cyprus

I've been to Cyprus many times. Stayed in Pernera and Protarus. I went to visit Paphos for a day, and thought it was okay. As a keen photographer, there was plenty to see. I haven't been to the Trudos mountains, but have been told that its brilliant there. Last year, I did a trip over to see the Pyramids in Giza. Now that's a site to see. Cost around 400 euro for the wife and myself but was worth every cent!
  8. Good pictures + good shooting. Well done.
  9. Soak the tail in Meths (in a plastic container) for a few days. This works. Better still. Buy some tanning powder (makes 2 gallons) from a firm called Snowdonia Taxidermy supplies. ( CP5 White Tan 2 gallon kit) I bought some, left the tail in for 24 hours, and it's brilliant. Steve.
  10. I want to purchase a spring powered/break barrel air rifle in .22. I only want it for the occasional rabbit shoot on a golf course, because .22LR was refused by the powers to be. I don't want to spend a fortune on something that will only be used, maybe once a month. There are loads out there to choose from. What would you recommend? Thanks Steve.
  11. Cheers everyone. Not going to bother now. If I do gp ahead and buy one, I'll pay a bit more and get it from a UK supplier.
  12. The NV scopes are advertised on ebay by a reputable seller. I don't think there would be a problem sending the scopes over here. I know that you can get 'gun parts' (depending on what they are) because I have bought items to modify my 10/22 from the USA.

  14. My thanks to Alpha Mule, who sent me details of how to make the computer 'try and repair itself' After running it, a message said that my system had 'recovered from a serious error' Let's hope it stays that way. Thanks mate.
  15. I just place a photograph of my ex-mother in law in my front window. It scares the **** out of them. I'm still frightened now after 30 years!
