Looks good mate. Think I'll have a bash later.

Two come to mind. A magpie landed in a tree about 7 feet above my mate and myself when we in a hide. I just pointed my shotgun at it and fired. Guts and feathers landed on my mate. The second one was recently, when I was driving along a farm track. On the bank below me was a large crow feeding, and unaware of my presence. I got out of my vehicle, grabbed my 243 off the back seat, loaded one round, and shot at it about an inch above its legs. Total oblivion! I measured the distance later and it was 22 feet.

Hi Ben. Welcome to PW.

This 'advice' came from Fagin, not so long ago.

Depends what you class as 'cheap'. You could buy a second hand, good quality semi-auto, or buy a new Hatsan Escort shotgun. What price range are you looking to spend?

Has anyone else been having problems with PW, when switching from post to post. When I do this, everything freezes up, and I have to re-start my computer. Cheers Steve

I sprayed my pigeon decoys with hair laquer to 'stop them shining', as mentioned on a previous post a while back. The decoys are now more shiny! Has anyone else tried this, and what were the results. Steve

I agree. Plastic ones do work, even when wet. Flocked ones are better, but you don't need to have them. I bought a flocking kit for some of mine, with good results. The best bit of kit, apart from the Primos crow caller, is a flapper. I use mine with crow attached, and it's connected to an intermittent timer. This works brilliantly, and I have had many good bags of crows, the best being 128.

When I was a manager of a large retail shop, I always told staff not to approach anyone they think, or saw, stealing items. Police should be called if possible.

I once said to me ex wife (who hated everything to do with shooting) I can either go shooting etc etc or prop up the bar in my local pub. I won! She's gone now, and my new wife comes with me when I go pigeon shooting and even plucks the pigeons I shoot.

It will be available on DVD (legally) soon. I'm going to wait.

Hi Jamie. Welcome to PW

I have found that the ACME call is better for jackdaws, as you can produce a higher pitch. They are brilliant for making a squabbling sound that you hear when there are a lot of jackdaws about. The Primos call is better for crows and rooks. I've even called in Seagulls to view them!

Why is he wasting his hard earned ££££££ ?

As nickbeardo says. You have to practice many many times until you get it right. I have used them for years and they are the best on the market, in my opinion.
