  1. I have a Harris Bi-Pod for sale. 9"-13".(not swivel) It has been on my rifle for 3 months but has never actually been used (I used monopods instead) Excellent, as new condition. £50 inc pp by special next day delivery.. REDUCED. now £40 inc pp. No other reduction will be offered.
  2. The way I got my section one shotgun was to get a farmer to sign a letter saying that he has got major problems with crows/pigeons damaging his crops. When applying to the police, you have to state that it's for CROP PROTECTION. I was told by my local F.E.O. that it's important that these words are used on the application ( for our police force anyway)
  3. Thanks Gibby. I've heard about resistor's and how they work ( house dimmer switches) I've been told that they would not work for 12V. Thanks for the suggestion though!
  4. Anyone got any plans to make my own dimmer switch for my lightforce lamps? I don't want to replace them because of cost. An inline dimmer would be great if I could make one. Cheers Steve
  5. Thanks Stuart. That's the one I've been looking for. Cheers Steve
  6. I used to have a Remi' 597. It was terrible. Very fussy on rounds. would not take Winchester Sub Sonic 40g (which I've always used) I got rid of it and have just bought a 10/22 stainless. An ewxcellent rifle. I have never had a problem yet with it. I've tried many different makes of .22 ammo ( all subsonic) with good results.
  7. I read somewhere in one of my shooting magazines about a double rifle sling. You can put it over both your shoulders and carry your gun squarely on your back. My rifle is top heavy and slips backwards on my shoulder while carrying it. I can't find the ad' despite trawling through many old mags. Does anyone know where the ad' is placed? Cheers Steve.
  8. What's the 'simple' answer ?
  9. I want some rods to use for poking dreys. I know you can buy them 'ready made' but they are expensive for something I would only use a few times a year. Anyone got any ideas how to make some, and where to get the rods etc?
  10. DVD. Varmint Safari 4 - Tricking the Trickster. (Coyote) 40 kills including 12 with .17 centrefire rifle. Excellent viewing. 90 minutes long. Original DVD not a copy (or been copied ) As new condition. Sell for £12 inc pp by recorded delivery. - SOLD to AndyCM pending usual.
  11. No problem. I've sent you a PM. Steve
  12. Cammo tape is okay, make sure it's the one that does not stick to the barrel and leave marks. Or you could use a barrel sleeve. These are better in my opinion.
  13. Brand new DVD - Rise of the Footsoldier. Double DVD Excellent viewing with a 'bit of fighting' included Original DVD not a copy. Sell for £7.50 inc pp by recorded delivery SOLD. Pending usual.
  14. If anyone else wants one, but they have all sold, south yorkshire shooting supplies (rimfire magic) do the american eagle 30 shot ones for £17.50 inc pp. I've got one and they are great.
  15. Thanks boys. I thought it was a mouse too. it's the second I've caught in a fortnight. My neighbour's garden is full of shrubs etc. My jack russell is going nuts by the boundary fence.
  16. I caught this little %^&%&%$%*% in a trap in my shed last night. It's droppings were very small, like pencil lead. Is is a mouse, or a young rat?
  17. I used a Baikal 627 O/U for many years and it was brilliant, no problems with it at all. I use a Baikal S/S 3 inch magnum now, together with my other guns. Baikal guns in my opinion are good value for money.
  18. I bought the 5mm one, as it's the same price as the 3mm. I have just ordered another one to replace the one lost. They are brilliant when attached or placed in front of a lamp ( I used my 140 Lightforce ) Steve
  19. I have always used Winchester Sub Sonics 40g ammo. They have never failed to cycle in my Remi 597 and Ruger 10/22. SYSS do the American Eagle 30 round magazines for £17.50 inc pp. These mags are excellent.
  20. Thanks Dave, that's the very firm I purchased my filter from. Cheers :o
  21. Does anyone know the name of the firm who sells the infra red filters that you can cut to suit your needs. I bought one last year, but have lost it and cannot remember the name of the firm. Cheers
  22. Try Keens Guns in Bridgend south Wales. They have a few there for sale
  23. Highseas, is it a motorised eagle owl you use, or just the fixed stationary one. I have this type and have not had any success with it yet. steve
