  1. Thanks for all the replies. I had read about virtualy recoiless springers for target shooting so thought it should be possible to get something for hunting. I have a Daystate Huntsman sitting without a scope. I might put something on that. In Africa we have used the red dot and maybe something like that might work. Bushnell do a reflex and there are some aimpoint options. I want to have a wider field of view than a scope.
  2. 'I would encourage them ro do what the hell they want' Pretty clear to all including most of NATO and Europe. If there is any doubt then maybe he should think more before opening his gob.
  3. Copying is always at least last generation behind. The Chinese took HK but lost much of the knowledge. They need Taiwan for the chip tech but even that is currently being drained. The Chinese have competent mass production but as with the Russians are hampered by corruption. Population control stifles criticism resulting in a lack of learning. Counterfeit, poorly regulated incorrectly labeled goods prevail. Russia have barely enough men to run its industry now. Those that have faced the Ukrainians are mostly dead or crippled. They are not facing Western tech simply a bunch of uncoordinated and often old munitions. The Russian tactics are charecterised by slow learning. If they were facing the West they would be largely gone already. The Chinese already know how to manage meat waves and don't need Russia to show them. What is concerning is the lack of capacity and munitions we have.
  4. Whilst Ping has almost limitless resource what he lacks is innovation. The structure of control does not encourage freedom of thought. What we have in Ukraine is a ready made test bed.
  5. Great to scratch that itch. Even better to share a pic on pw so the rest of us can see. 😁
  6. I have one. Just fancied something for pesky squirrels 😁 Ideally I want to get something with diopter sights just for a bit of interest.
  7. Yep that's the one. Some of the older target air guns were recoil free with reciprocating springs ? I thought?
  8. It's right we all have to pay. Big difference between that and encouraging Russia to attack those that do not. Positive step forward with new drone partnership for Ukraine with UK and Latvia.
  9. If I were to buy the smoothest springer / gas ram sub 12 what would it be? Is there a recoiless hunting rifle (not pcn)?
  10. Arrived at Joburg from Bloem with no paperwork for the rifle in the hold 🤣. That cost me 😇
  11. Every country depends on aliances including the US.
  12. Unlike the fickle flip flopping US? I had not appreciated that the French nukes are outside of NATO.
  13. Now European politicians are drawing the UK into the debate for European security. With the uncertainty of US support France and the UK could provide an upgraded nuclear deterent under European management. Cooperation with the UK around defence might unlock the UK barriers to co-operation. A change of gov't might help find a way though the minefield. 😍 Speaking this week, Donald Tusk, the Polish prime minister, said Macron’s offer of a possible Europeanisation of nuclear weapons to create a common security system should be taken “really seriously”.
  14. 🤣🤣🤣 Forced to tell it like it is. It must hurt so bad when the prophecy of collapse fails to materialise. If only it were true here.
  15. Certainly true of educated liberals but I don't think we can underplay the dislike of Trump from the educated right of politics. The faults of Biden don't make Trump any better. Sleepy Joe is hardly an antidote for Trump but as with Corbyn Johnson the lesser of two evils. We can't fault the economic recovery. Even fox is choking on it. What we are witnessing is Trump mouthing off for maga nothing more. The benefit being a wake up call for the EU to get its act together to defend its own freedoms. The thoughts of joe average US citizen don't have much leverage In super power polititics. Since when does the US want to be anything but the world's super power?
  16. I can't see this stuff lasting long against swarm drones. 🤣
  17. Trump's statement is putting lives at risk through the potential miscalculation of intentions. The twonk is a liability to the world. Trump in power and Ping Invades Taiwan because defence is suspect. ? The US spending on war in Europe is good for jobs and business in the US. It is largely not money going out of the US. There are flakey leaders all over but none have said they would support the invasion of their own allies by their enemies.
  18. Are you happy to trust in the Lord the Senile or the insane for your freedom? Europe has a choice to do exactly this or step up to the plate and get its act together. As for the UK, it has little choice but to trust in the trinity. 🤣
  19. What option do we have? Russia wanted fast track to NATO 😍 330 million. 👍 A bit ? Many (most) have put more to Ukraine than the US (by gdp per head). Ukraine war is challenging all of Europe to rethink. The UK needs to be looking at doubling its spend starting with salaries. We look more isolated than most.
  20. Trump Has said he would support Putin to attack NATO countries if they had not paid their bills. What a complete moron. How anyone could ever see this spanner as an acceptable candidate for president is beyond me. Anyone who ever saw Trump as the right side of normal. needs a recalibration of their value system. The sooner Europe gets its own army together the safer we will all be.
  21. 😁 as Brits we can't live there anymore. Unless you can afford to buy a tesidence ticket. I love Cornwall using the boat as accommodation. Weather is mostly good April to Oct.
  22. Having a great time in Thailand. Here's a pic of our boat gym when there is no wind. 🤣
  23. oowee

    Road kills.

Any road killed badgers this way are cleared and cashed b4 daybreak.
  24. Was on about the role of assessors under this NE scheme. Rate for cull was set by the farmers who paid for the work.
