  1. Yes, that's probably the best way. It's only a Baikal so not too worried about it getting damaged
  2. I'm visiting a mate in Leicester this weekend and he's suggested we go clay pigeon shooting. Thought I'd take my shotgun with me rather than paying to hire them, but I'm coming back on the train. Anyone taken a shotgun (in a slip!) on public transport? I'd keep it on my person and can put the fore-end into my rucksack. Likely to have cartridges with me too, but I'll be carrying my licence.
  3. Just replying to get notification of the photos
  4. My uncle's company provided the plywood for the sets... (or is your uncle Danny's surname "Craig"?)
  5. I had some carpet and Evostik Sticks like **** left over from our extension. The tube split as I was trying to squeeze it with the sealant gun, so I ended up just squeegeeing it onto the cabinet sides with a silicone spreader. Carpet stuck well although I ran out of glue before getting to do the back but it's nice having a softer finish in there as I've heard those Baikals are quite fragile
  6. It's weird seeing someone set to a brand new car with a hammer and chisel to match the dings on all the others ones for continuity. Good film but it seems that JLR products roll over far too easily for my liking (and I was behind a Discovery today which looks like it was designed in a fairground mirror)

I'd let it go for £450 if you change your mind
  8. My sprocker doesn't like loud noises but my cocker, despite being a little bitch the rest of the time, loves it when I'm clay shooting. She chases the ones I miss (so most of them) and barks when I stop
  9. Not the best way for my local town to be on the map...

I have a Sako P94S with wood stock and varmint barrel I'm looking to sell, but I'm in Sussex
  11. If the hotel takes cards, Revolut gives good rates
  12. Ah, that's possibly more likely. I'll check, thanks
  13. Yes, you can on this model but that would make things worse as I'd need to put my fingers near them
  14. No idea, just think that's what it must have been. These Baikal guns are normally renowned for their build quality but this one is covered in sharp edges. Probably from when someone used it to hammer in fence posts
  15. My shooting is improving. 39/50 on the sporting at CPC Northall today and 12 on the compac. Skeet was good fun but plenty of room for improvement! Ripped the skin on my trigger finger, possibly on the ejector (which is razor sharp). Made it painful to shoot but still whipped my friend!

Send it to live here - a couple of days with my mother-in-law and it'll take its own life
  17. 3344 - don't know who was more surprised, him or me when I hit it with my .410
  18. Very similar to the other one I bought. I have a problem...
  19. Ha! I managed to get it into a wheelbarrow on my own but it will have to sit on the floor once it is moved
  20. It looked cool. It's pretty solid but no idea where it can go at the moment
  21. I bought a proper safe for my ammo but it's too heavy to lift it to put it where it's needed so it's still out in the barn (where I was painting it)
  22. Isn't a major market for platinum in catalytic converters, which are going to become less prevalent as internal combustion is phased out?
  23. Hydrogen certainly has a lot of potential but it's not necessarily the environmental panacea one may think. It's quite harmful to the ozone layer as a lot of it escapes during production. If there was a filling station nearer to me I'd certainly look into getting a hydrogen car - I watched a good video interviewing JCB about their hydrogen engines and it made a lot of sense. The sheer weight of electric batteries combined with the way they lower in performance over time puts me off getting an electric car, although I wouldn't turn a Tesla down...
