  7. Living in the scotish borders i think scotland will go independant only on the fact that scotish folk will vote yes as they just love to see scotland being al glory and shiny and having nothing to do with England ! and not actually thinking of the quonciquences it will bring.. Mr salmond has been around nearly every school in scotland talking to kids over 16 and brainwashing them in facts that are not true .. My vote will be No but my guess is it will go indepedant and if it does am moving away to somewhere with some sun !
  8. I live on the scotish borders only 3 miles into scotland from england ,, going independant is stupid no way can scotland survive without putting up housing tax and all the pther tax it just going to drive people out the place ,, never the fact that half the people on the border work in the nearst city in england so everytime you have to go to work you get stoped by boarder control with the plans they have to build on the main road leading into and out of scotland !! Keep britian british !
  9. Thankyou so if reloading cartridges for next season of wildfowling what would anyone recomend steel shot ?
  10. Alot of talk on the feild this year about the difference between #7.5 and #9 ,, i did a bit of reserch and discoverd there was only 0.28 mm of a differance in shot size ,, is it worth going to #9 shot just to know you might have a few extra shot ?
  11. You hear all this press about non toxic shot for waterfowel but what actually is it is it just steal shot ?
  12. I was verry lucky today and was givern a ATA Arms Neo 12g Semiauto 28 " shotgun to try out on a full day clay shoot. First of all i was a bit weiry as i was told this gun was an import from Turkey, As i took my first two shots i was verry impressed with how the gun fitted and also the amount of recoil , Lets put it this way i was gobsmacked to be truthfull on how well it performed. During lunch i got talking to the gun shop owner who had lent me the gun for the day and he was saying when he visited the ATA arms factory he found out that they run along side with Beretta and Benelli , ATA actually produce and invented the inertia action for Benelli and also produce the semi auto barrels for Beretta. In the second half of the clay day after most guests left i decded to run some heavyer loads through to see how it performed, it took 32g and 34g with ease and what felt like a tickle of recoil.. I still carnt belive how well it performed and for the price tag of £750 and 3 year full inclusive warrenty i dont think you could go wrong, Now to the dredded word in semi Autos JAMMING, I ran though 250 cartrides and not once did it ever have a problem with jamming i even mixed up the cartrides in the chambor loading a selection of 2 3/4" and 3" at the same time. never stuck or jammed. I am verry impressed with this gun even though the finishing of the style was a bit plain and matt its a superb gun for the money and basically Benelli and Beretta quality. I even let the girlfriend have a few shots and she is just starting out and she says she could easy and comfatably shoot this 12g now all day if she had one of these. Not to the fact i have one on orderd for her birthday, but i am sure i will be having a few go's even if it gets me the back hand or not !
  13. non just north of carlisle was loads but all gone only seen one this week just over the border :(
  14. Okay thankd all yes few reasons wanting to change really ,, price of cartridges is really the main key i want to change to be able to use steel on clays is quite abit cheeper .
  15. Recently i have just got back started into shooting after i had a massive scare when i was 14 (5 years ago) causing damage and alot of pain to my collar bone. About 4 months ago i got my own licence and bought a 20bore thinking it be alot softer recoil to bring me some more confidance back into shooting, i had a few lessons with the local owner of the gun shop teaching me propper stanse and also gun mount. So after shooting mostly nearly everyweekend am kinda getting back into this shooting and feel comftable with the 20bore, But after going to a shoot one day and finding out most people my age are shooting 12 bores it got me wondering if i should start moving up, My dad has a 12 bore but yet am affraid to give it a shot after my accident a few years back. Am usualy shooting 28g to 34g cartridges in my 20 bore and was wondering is the kick much more in a 12 than 20 and also what is the best way to move up with out getting put off again as i am only 5' 7" and 19 years old. Is it best to start with light cartridges in a 12 bore and work my way up or am i just being a drama queen and need to face the fear of hurting my self front on ? .. Cheers Nick
