  1. I drank far to much greene king as a lad and it never did me any harm I think... hope...what was i saying...whoops
  2. unusually plenty of small codling here, looking good for next year, I wonder if a reduction in commercial quotas is having an effect !
  3. The one on the left bares an uncanny resemblance to JDog but he's clearly from up north perhaps a cousin
  4. intriguing, orca/ bear action Im thinking it would have to be very fast and very accurate with some consent from the bear, this is not the work of Durrel D Durrel, Bsc contortionist (failed) University of Brent is it ? because I once read a paper he did on the benefit of self harm to aid memory, cant remember were though (ouch)
  5. I do when I can, especially from the boat, Iv'e bouyed a small reef and tie to that and use a fast sinking line and a floating lure with a slow retrieve, I think the line runs along the kelp and the lure floats above, the best takes are when the lure is on the surface just before the next cast and the pollack's makes one last attack with the momentum taking it clear of the surface. Are you getting pollack in Essex now ?
  6. interesting to see everyone else spells Pollack as Pollock we actually call them Lythe here, either way they are excellent eating, loriousgarrulus are you getting Alaskan pollack, in Lidl,? We fry them in goujons (fish fingers) but mostly make curry,
  7. Iv'e been through all of Durrels work in 84 and have found no mention of Orca rape of polar bears, perhaps your referring to another Durrel, ( bob durrel window cleaner of oldham for example)
  8. yes pollack it took me 45 minutes to download the photos almost as long as it took to catch em, Ive had them to 10lb from this spot, thanks for the comments
  9. The boats ashore so I thought I'd have an afternoon chilled on the rocks, some nice pollack about and i ended with 4 between 4 and 5lb and lost 2, not the biggest or the most but great fun, looking forward to some curry, fish and chips, and fish pie
  10. This is the small minded attitude that penguins have been trying to overcome for decades, try to look at it from a penguins perspective it is well known that polar bears are able to partake of the odd jodrell without handbrake failure due to an anti freeze, inherent in their blood the clapping is an open display of appreciation for the beauty of the local penguin population, not sure about noise, suspect general manly behaviour
  11. it is a penguins right to dress as he or she sees fit without being raped by any passing seal, seals must learn self restraint or masterbate like everyone else

  13. NO, although sometimes it may feel like it, especially when your on your own
  14. England FA fined 6000 euros for fans booing croatian national anthem
  15. excellent to quote Derek and Clive "save the ******* whales ? where were they in last war"
  16. Its this feeling of manipulation, all govs assume we are too stupid to realise the way we are being manipulated and have teams of very clever people behind the so called leaders who tell/advise them to make announcements like we are facing recession and then infer that a vote for anyone but themselves will speed up this recession, and on and on, we always end up voting for the least unpleasant of a bad bunch,
  17. Im in my second year reloading and ive bought several reloading books including ballistic products and BPI and RSI reloading specialties inc, I found/find them good for understanding terms and use of components but only used the RSI recipes, possibly the best way forward is to find out what powder and components are available to you locally then look up recipes from the company website or from the supplier of the components, in my case Alliant, and Vectan. Components are readily available from several retailers. Of course there are several experts on PW who have recipes to share, its a fascinating "hobby"
  18. been reading through the "banter" no surprises there then, what is surprising is that football hooligans behave badly and the country with the biggest population has a better football team,
  19. The last paragraph looks the most likely, sexual frustration in the breeding season, bizarre behaviour, wouldn't want to be there with me leg stuck in a hole !
