Well that's the season now over and my 3 Spaniels will get a well earned wash groom and tidy up, ready for a well earned rest. My wife has kindly agreed to offer a gundog wash down and tidy up weekend on the 6th and 7th of February for anyone looking to come along for a cuppa and treat their Gundog to a bit of a pamper. She's offering a Wash, Dry, Brush Out, Nail Clip, and trim up all for a special price of £20 You can find her on Facebook and Website just look for Beaulee Dog Grooming in Norwich (Not sure if I'm allowed to post website address) So come along have a chat and a drink whilst your dog gets a little Pamper. Thank Jason

Rabbits all gutted and in the fridge, ready for hotpot tomorrow. Any ideas how to get the stink of my hands? Cheers Jason
  5. Norwich folk must be fully permed up. Not much intrest so far. Local Farmer has said to get the poisons out and be done with? Dont see that as much fun

    Norwich

I live in the Golden Triangle, wonderful Such a vibrant diverse community with some quite upmarket areas. 5 mins from Norwich High School for Girls and 10 min walk to City Centre. I regularly drive to Station during rush hour and is 10 mins using known routes. Some nice houses on Christchurch Rd and a straight line drive to NHG
  7. Guys I have 25 Acres available to offer a couple of permissions for clearing Rabbits, Crows / Pigeon etc, will be planting in the spring so looking for someone with time on there hands and not just the odd day a month. Looking for someone with experience and willing to pass on their knowledge, particularly with rabbiting techniques. Normal safe conditions will apply, insurance, FAC, kit etc etc. Hopefully this will be of interest to someone as we have a lot of Rabbits. PM me with interest and details Cheers Jason
  8. Thanks Bentos I'm in no hurry still training my young Sprocker so would love a spot in a couple of seasons maybe? I'll keep in touch. Jason
  9. Welcome, any details on your syndicate any places coming available?
  10. Bird as in women, that would be cool!!? My post had a touch of tongue in cheek, dry wit about it, you obviously missed it!?
  11. Clay ground with a couple of raw juicy meaty bones in the back, she'll soon ignor the bangs. Try Cap gun starter pistol, from a distance before meal times the gun will signal dinner, then work your way up starter pistol, dummy, starter pistol closer and closer. starter pistol as she walks by your side, bang, sit. eventually trained to drop to shot. little at a time, always ***** your dogs reactions and try to think / plan out things that can incorperate the gun so they become comon place and to signal something is going to happen or something is required of the dog.
  12. Fenboy Please show me a real life Bird Launcher, that would be cool. Seriously come on??
  13. I could think of a few places to launch my wife, but no this is for the feathered kind. I did chuckle to myself... sorry weird sense of humour!?
  14. Not sure how that would work, I want to put em up not bring em down? well I do want to bring em down but not quite in the conventional way
  15. I average about 38 on the ODO I think I once got it to 41 but was driving at 60 just to see what it would do...sad I know it's defienatly got some Poke. it's great as I have 3 kids, I can get a dog cage 2 buggies and the wife in the Boot. not bad for £7200 atc BCA auctions
  16. Hi All I'm looking to purchase a bird launcher, has anyone tried one with any success... My wife is 5ft7 not sure if they come in a range of sizes? Not sure if these are reserved for the professionals? Thanks Jason
  17. Thanks CL, yeah I joined last year so will give them a call to see if they have any contacts. Shame they don’t have a forum on their Members Area. Norfolk seems to be a bit isolated when it comes to Spaniel People. Got to drive to Colchester for nearest trainer with a Rabbit Pen, things we do for our dogs!
  18. Hyundai Santa fe MK 2 onwards, I bought mine at auction with 105 k on the clock for a 09 plate, the engines are like pit ponies they just never die. Best MPG Best TAx Looks good, cheap to buy, 7 seats that all fold down, massive boot and supprisingly quick. All the reviews I read was what made me buy, Just a reliable 4x4.
  19. That would be great, please let me know if he would be interested.
  20. Openshaws Placeboard is excellent as a compliment to basic training and has worked wonders with my Sproker Bitch. Also Lab Training with Stan Harvey is very simple to follow. Mullenscote double DVD is good if your on a budget. DVD are great to show you how to anticipate a dogs actions and the correct way to correct and put your self in a place not to fail or at least not to let the dog get one up on you! Would anyone be intrested in a loan / swap on DVD for a few weeks?
  21. Funny you should mention, im out your way on a job next month, do you have a helipad??
  22. Hi Chaps I'm offering a bit of free hard graft in return for acses to land or release pen for bringing on my spaniel. No shooting required, but would need to use starter pistol, dummy launcher, etc. Got into all this about a year and a half ago and love it, but struggling with supply of ground for training. I work offshore so plenty of free time when im back home, especially good for earlymorning duties. If youre intrested or know anyone please PM me. Norwich Norfolk Thanks Jason
  23. I found the layout and traps a bit demanding at Mid Norfolk when I started out, can Knock your confidence, if you’re not careful. I picked up so many tips from You Tube and saved a packet on tuition. Smallburgh Rifle & Pistol club at Hainford have a few Sundays in the month and they have 3 good traps to get your technique right.
