I couldn’t help noticing the news reader on BBC news at one o’clock.
He appeared to be wearing an Iranian shirt, the type with no collar and buttoned to the neck. Most odd. Maybe just the Beeb showing impartiality.

Did he describe Israel as The evil Zionist entity that should be destroyed.

  2. There was one incident in Afghanistan where a British commander called in an American Air strike on the Taliban. There were a few British casualties and many people will likely condemn the Americans, but when they struck the Taliban they were less than 100 feet from over running a British position. Now did that airstrike save lives or cost lives. Sometimes the margin of error is so small, measure out 100 feet and see how small that margin is.

how is this outrage any form of accident or mistake when their vehicles were clearly targeted ex servicemen deserve a far bigger response than hand wringing from this country

I don't recall you being so vocal about the 14 British Citizens murdered by Hamas or the 2 who are still held hostage.

  4. Both the UK and US have made similar mistakes, I believe a wedding was once bombed by the US.

Hamas and PIJ are both well known for using ambulances and aid vehicles to move about unhindered.

Let's not forget the collateral damage done by the allies in eradicating ISIS.

  5. When Israel withdrew from  Gaza in 2005 they left behind enough infrastructure for the region to thrive. A road network, desalination plants, solar panels and hundreds of commercial green houses with irrigation systems in place. They had billions of dollars pumped into the region but Hamas dismantled everything and took the cash to Qatar, just look how many Hamas leaders are Billionaires.

Jihadi groups aligned to Palestinian Islamic Jihad are killing many people in Africa but the world doesn't protest. Muslims have killed millions of other Muslims in recent years but no protests on the streets. The world protests not because Arabs are dying but because its Jews doing the killing, if it was Syria or Jordan doing the killing the world would be silent.

One final point here is a quote from a Islamic Cleric in Gaza.. "To our holy brothers in Andalusia your time will soon be here, the Zionist entity is soon to die and we can liberate our holy lands in Europe together" The charters of the  Extremist groups in Gaza have three main aims.  1. The destruction of Israel, 2. Eradicate Jews worldwide  3. Create a global Islamic State. Will Israel not existing make your world safer or more dangerous.

The air rifle wasn’t the issue. I as referring to the fact that the man was incapable of adjusting a scope.

Most likely because most soldiers never used to see a scoped rifle. Our SLRs had iron sites. The susat sites on the SA80 used a key for making adjustments, so adjusting a conventional scope is alien to most Soldiers.

How anyone could ever see this spanner as an acceptable candidate for president is beyond me.

Trump and Biden are both spanners, if they are the best the self proclaimed "Greatest Nation on Earth" has to offer then how messed up are the other 250 million Americans.

Parts of both communities call for the end of the other so the extremists on both sides are as bad as each other. In my mind trying to create a fundamentalist state (Israel) goes against all the values of freedom that we in the west support. All of this masks the vast majority of the population, on both sides, that simply want to live in peace and get on with the short lives we have.

When you feel your back is against the wall you are more likely to vote for change however it comes. We should resist fundamentalism in all its forms. It starts with small infringement of liberty, of freedom of speech, workers rights or upholding international norms and it ends in the sewer. No one chooses a journey that ends in a sewer but it's easy to be distracted at the junctions on the highway.

In Tel Aviv I can get on a bus driven by an Arab, I can go buy things in a shop owned by an Arab, I can ask an Arab policeman for directions to a restaurant owned by Arabs, where I can eat a meal cooked by Arabs. If I am ill I could go to a hospital where an Arab nurse, doctor or surgeon could treat me. Now tell me where in the Arab world could you visit and see these roles fulfilled by a Jew.

    They’re pro-Palestine, not pro-Hamas.

But yet they chant a well used Hamas slogan "from the river to the sea, palestine will be free". A slogan Hamas have used in the past when calling for the destruction of Israel.

  10. In 1948 it was deemed insulting to call an Arab a Palestinian, in fact the term Palestinian was used by the Arabs as an insult to Jews. When the 1948 war broke out many Arab newspapers wrote about driving the Palestinians (jews) out of Arab lands.

  11. I worked at amazon Sunderland about 3 years ago. My shift was 22.00 - 06.00 at a rate of £9.50 per hour. There was also a shift running from 01.00 - 09.00 also at £9.50 per hour. I absolutely hated it and only worked there because I was desperate. Many nights I travelled the 15 miles to work and paying to go through the Tyne Tunnel only to arrive on site to be told we don't need you go home and come back tomorrow.

Giant viper had a big bang for your bucks lol, it's now been replaced by Python, same idea just updated.
And for a bit of interest, the tower in the back ground is one of many i and my section put up all over Batus, their purpose was to be able to see three of them at any time and triangulate your position, now you just look on google maps lol.

Funnily enough I was working at BATUS when I used to watch the vipers being deployed.

Challenger is a battle proven tanlk, in the gulf war they claimed 300 enemy tanks for no loses and also the longest kill for a battle tank it also was in iraq.the commander in a challenger is searching and inputting the next target while the gunner is firing at a previous inputted target, they are highly efficient and a good crew has a very high kill rate.

As for your mate and his hammer lol, BLIND SIDE what blind side?and a hammer banged on a challenger, like a gnat on a donkeys backside.

"Optical and thermal imager sights are provided for both the Commander and Gunner, including an independent 360ᵒ panoramic sight for the Commander. The sighting systems, turret and gun are fully stabilised enabling rapid target engagement when static and on the move."

Don't forget the most important person, the loader/radio operator. We set the rate of fire by how quick we are.
