  1. I'm needing a few panels for building a new run,can anyone recommend a supplier either online or local to me in Northumberland. Thanx in advance for any information.
  2. Cockerpoos are popular as a hearing dog for the deaf, apparently they are intelligent, don't shed hairs everywhere and are small enough for someone living in sheltered accommodation or a bedsit.
  3. Sometimes the guns have upto 90 minutes for lunch, I often give my dog a small snack and a drink.
  4. Isn't there a site called "magpie" that buys cds, couldn't you sell to them and donate to H4H.
  5. Lying in hospital fighting for my life and coughing up blood it was my girlfriend who was at my bedside everyday not my shotgun, would i give up shooting for her. Most definitely, so does this make me less of a man.
  6. Don't give up, just make sure your next syndicate is an established one with a good reputation
  7. Did anyone on here actually join and get ripped off or is it all just hearsay.
  8. Whatever next, you'll be telling me they've a vegan as shadow defra secretary.
  9. Only in America could would be jihadists be banned from flying but allowed by Congress the right to buy guns.
  10. Only in America could politicians vote to allow terrorists and the mentally ill a right to have access to firearms.
  11. I think this quote says it all, if you haven't got anything better to do and it's not bothering anyone then what's the problem.
  12. I do like my evenings out bass fishing, I'm on a tight budget and fishing is a cheap hobby and it's always nice to have a freshly caught bass for lunch. When are they ever going to realise recreational fishermen have very little impact on fish stocks, especially me with the number of nights in blank. A lot of bass sold in supermarkets is farmed hence the small size.
  13. When out shooting pigeons/corvids we are are often advised to read the general licence and to make sure we understand it, thus keeping us on the right side of the law. When I did my dsc1 all laws and rules regarding deer were covered, I'm not suggesting everyone goes and does a dsc1 but I am suggesting anyone interested in shooting deer takes a look at the section in the dsc1 manual regarding law as it explains everything you need to know and it only takes about 30 minutes to go through. If anyone local to me wants to read it I am happy to lend them mine for a day or two. The bds is also a good place to go for information on stalking.
  14. And that is where the various organisations are letting us down, they should be liaising with programme makers
  15. Yes the article didn't make it clear as to where they were shot, but some people are still adamant the swans weren't shot for the reasons the WWT woman stated.
  16. The woman from WWT was tagging swans and found 35% of them had evidence of being shot, she was then asked why would anyone shoot a Swan she then gave the answer that they were shot for food, where it was tradition and for target practice. So was she wrong and if so can someone give me other reasons as to why someone would shoot swans.
  17. Can you please explain what false allegations she made.
  18. Lies, lies and more lies. As shooters we complain when people alter facts to justify their arguments and yet you have done the same. The girl from WWT never said Berwick Swan numbers were down 35% due to target practice, she said 35% of Berwick swans examined had gun shot wounds. When asked by the reporter why would anyone shoot a Swan she replied "for food, tradition and target practice" I do believe the report should have made it clear that these practices of shooting swans mostly occur in other countries.
  19. Scutt off here has a small syndicate at duns, I've never been up but I've heard good things. Keep an eye out incase he ever has vacancies.
  20. Due to mods deleting a post it would appear some think 955i has died, but he is happily posting on other subjects.
  21. When I've finished plucking it the bird usually looks like the collie on the specsavers advert.
  22. Every Friday used to be black eye Friday when lucys at bedlington station was still open
  23. It's the NHS staff that get it in the neck on nights like this. A few years ago I was rushed to A&E on a Saturday night and I was shocked at what went on. A paramedic came in on a stretcher after a drunk beat her senseless, later a drunk came in demanding to be treated immediately the nurse asked him to take a seat and he just punched her in the face, blood everywhere. It went on all night drunks kicking off and threatening staff. It always amazes me how these big hard men always manage to find a female member of staff to pick on.
  24. Thanx for the replies i was offered a goose last year and turned it down, if I get the chance of another one I think I'll have a crack at making some burgers.
