  1. As ditchman says many of us are on a tight budget, like you I buy reduced food and freeze it. A pack of reduced beef heart and veggies from the garden make a cracking stew. I also go beating when ever I get the chance as the money and a brace or two comes in very handy. Fishing for mackerel and whiting is also a good cheap way to fill your freezer and both fish are super tasty.
  2. Is that now policy for all renewals
  3. It's always the same, never anything up our way
  4. Any feedback from his paying customers, has he set out to rip off people or did he just see the chance for easy money and get out of his depth.
  5. Was she publicising it or was she defending herself. If people like Chris Bb didn't start up hate campaigns against her she wouldn't have to make statements about it.
  6. Lest we forget the thousands of commonwealth soldiers who paid the ultimate price for your freedoms.
  7. Well said, as an ex-serviceman I find these bully boy poppy fascists a bit annoying.
  8. Been with both rac and aa over the years, called out the aa twice and rac once. Both companies provided excellent service, like many companies you'll hear good things as well as bad things about them.
  9. New season starts on Wednesday 21.00 on discovery (sky channel 520)
  10. Is it on a UK channel yet or are you streaming it.
  11. Could the problem be a lack of awareness as to what a sgc/Fac actually looks like. I've just asked my friends sister if she knew what a sgc/Fac looks like and she said no (she's a bank cashier).
  12. I've never fished beadnell but a mate goes lure fishing up there for pollack. I much prefer fishing the beaches at Blyth, Seaton Sluice, Cambois, Hauxley or Cresswell, sometimes Blyth pier when whiting are about.
  13. After having a minutes silence for terrorists killed in Gibraltar by the SAS can we now expect Jeremy Corbyn to organise a tribute to these two terrorists.
  14. Nothing was said about things being done wrong, the problem was getting a visit from someone who hadn't done one before. Every person who carries out home visits has to have a first visit.
  15. How on earth is anybody ever going to do anything in life if they don't do it for the first time, every feo's career has had to start with a first visit.
  16. Try beadnell just a mile or two south and fish the skeer with a lure for pollack, or try craster and fish the deep gulleys on the shore line towards dunstanburgh castle for pollack and mackerel. If beach fishing is your thing try beadnell beach for flatties or warkworth beach for flatties and the odd bass. There's also a good sea running today once it dies off a bit there should be a few cod about.
  17. Shame, a lot of members off here gave you some very good feedback after booking a day's shooting with you last season.
  18. After years of missing more than I was hitting and on the recommendation of bakerboy I decided to have a lesson with BASC instructor Gavin. Before shooting we went through eye dominance, stance, gunfit and mount. Straight away Gavin noticed my gun was slightly too small for me (20mm) so he fitted a temporary modification and off we went to shoot some clays. I was presented with a mixture of clays and finally I was managing to hit many more than I was missing and the feel of the gun when mounted felt much better ( that extra inch does make all the difference). I would advice anybody to get at least one lesson to make sure you have the basics sorted and your gun fits you, I only wish I did it years ago. If anyone from the north of England is after a lesson or two I can recommend Gavin he explains everything so clearly that even a thicko like me can take it in. His contact details can be found on the BASC website.
  19. Thanx for all the help, I have booked a lesson with Gavin Knights for Friday morning.
  20. Even when being ignorant your ignorance shows your lack of knowledge.
  21. I think the behavior of those passengers was disgusting, all that poor man did was find a bag of guns and then board a train with them. Now you tell me who in similar circumstances wouldn't have done the same.
  22. I'd happily shoot on a Sunday given the chance, but I can also fully respect the views of those who choose not to. Likewise those who don't shoot on Sunday for whatever reason should understand why some choose to shoot.
  23. Charlie T is obviously from a time when society held a different set of values, some may agree or disagree with them. But fenboy and Andrew f tell you all you need to know about modern society, if you don't agree with someone just mock and ridicule them.
  24. So what do you propose, do you suggest nothing is done. As Tesco would say every little helps.
