  2. Hi, I’m looking for a good quality modern multi shot PCP hunting rifle .177 12ftlb, preferably a full set up but would consider rifle only at the right price. I’m located in Lanarkshire, Scotland & due to the current restrictions the closer the better and of course I have an air weapon licence. PM’s welcome, thank you.
  3. I always go for a clean head shot, I eat them so that’s the sensible option for me, as previously mentioned, no body shots.

  6. Count me in. Here's my Midland, no1 of a pair, I don't have the other but cash always waiting. Restored a number of years ago by David McKay Brown Gunmakers of Bothwell. Circa 1937 with some interesting history. More pics
  7. Hello again, thanks to everyone who replied with constructive comment and DM's. I took these on board and spent some time mid week at one of my local permissions with a pattern board, different chokes and a selection of cartridges. I'm not going to bother giving my step by step findings because some of the more pedantic readers will no doubt find fault somewhere or other! Basically, steel 32g 4's through a 1/2 choke seemed to pattern nicely at 25-30yds. With this choice, I went out yesterday on crop protection duty.....ahhh the hardship ? I had productive morning and definitly noticed a difference with my kill ratio and clean kills too. There's still a little more testing left to do this coming week but on the whole I'm more positive with steel than I was a week ago. Happy hunting. TLR.
  8. Thankyou, just a bit of constructive and helpful advice on what others have experienced with steel is welcoming ?
