  1. Ah right thanks for the clarification mate I must admit I was a bit disappointed that we had to head back to the car after about 30 shots! However I suppose if my cylinder passes I could take it with me when I go out and refill on site? However having the regulator fitted could be an option in the future. How much would this increase the amount if shots too roughly?
  2. It's these ones mate http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00FK2I5YQ
  3. Can't remember exactly as gave them to the shop owner as he used quite a lot of his own pellets to check the rifle However it said 'WASP' on the front of the tin if that helps? Tell me about it!! I've had more luck in last two days than I have in the last year...won £280 on Lord Windermere yesterday as well!!
  4. What's BTAS? Sorry new to all this!
  5. Thanks all!!! You lot and this mornings outing have cleared up any doubt I had with this rifle at his price Had a fun morning with some targets playing with the scope. A lot of practice required and I'll probably need a few more plays with the targets before I'm happy the scope is zeroed and have a pop at the pigeons etc I took to to the specialists this morning who gave it a going over. Apparently this rifle was made before the anti tamper so he was able to up the power to 11.4. It came with a tin of 5.6mm pellets which were too big so I got some 5.5mm diabolo field which seem much better. I don't think it's been cleaned or oiled for years so will give it a good clean tonight Here's some pics The cylinder The case The 'bits' The rifle
  6. I'm so tired I didn't even think to do a search for how much they go for...I just did and bloody hell!!! I hope it works as it seems I may have a bargain!!
  7. Hey all, I currently have SGC but have been wanting an air rifle for ages as I can't use the shottie around the farms buildings. However I don't know much about air rifles and the makes and models It just so happens I mentioned this to a customer of mine who offered me theirs. She hasn't used it for five years so I'm taking it tomorrow to Otmoors near Banbury to see what they think before I actually use it. She's offered me the rifle, the case, a scope, a silencer and a 7L gas cylinder all for £100 If it's all in good working order (I know the cylinder will need to be tested), is this a good price? Thanks Helen
  8. I'm gonna TM 'the fluffy one'!!! Good point about keeping it clean...mines filthy and now I know why!
  9. Thanks guys Is this something you all use religiously? I've always just used the brass wire one and the 'fluffy' one?
  10. It came in the plastic case with the gun and it fits on my cleaning rod but I've no idea what it's used for? Curiosity finally got the better of me!
  11. I can only answer for myself on this one: I don't see my snakes as 'pets' in any normal sense of the word. They don't love me, don't provide me with companionship, they don't greet me when I come home, I can't play with them etc etc What they are to me is a hobby. Something that fascinates me completely and I enjoy spending my spare time with them observing their behavior, trying to replicate their natural habitat as much as possible, trying to instigate breeding requirements such as seasonal cooling. It's no different to spending your spare time shooting, or collecting pottery, or watching films It just so happens that my hobby is a living breathing animal that's all. Helen
  12. I had some scales for my birthday...weighed this morning at 13.13 stone!! And I'm female!! I know I've already lost a roughly a stone prior to weigh in as gone down a dress size Best tip I can give you all? Go gluten free!! Works a treat :-)

  14. Personally I would have had the leg removed and kept the dog. About 6 years ago, my dog had her jaw smashed to pieces by a horse which cost me just under 2K to fix. I sold my car to help pay for it. But I didnt question the operation or cost for 1 second It seems like the dog is going to have a good life now as a pet so best thing all round.
