  1. Agree that the pattern would have been tight, shot looked low and hit the bottom jaw, animal presented better for shooting in middle of track IMO
  2. You'll be fine, it's only frowned upon if you start after 7am.. For some of us it's one of the only days we can get on them.
  3. Have a good morning, I am fixing a high seat for your Deer outing....or I would be along.
  4. Built this Baby...Yamaha Raptor 700 originally but changed the lot inc chassis all hand made and road legal with SVA a real peach, flat out at 132 mph was a little windy
  5. I would like to thank Dave for an excellent morning on the OSR, It was bright n sunny with a stiff breeze, lots of birds in the air, quite tricky to get them to commit & keep them coming back but we got there in the end. thanks for the opportunity to shoot somewhere different. Will be sorting a little something in return as 'a fair swap is no robbery' where I come from, let's see if we can't get on a doe before end the of March Thanks a lot.

  8. Quite possibly paid for by some of the rich n famous anti's thinking old Brock is 'so hard done by'
  9. Old Brock does this and more, seen them fighting over a still born lamb, but the oddest was when I got woken up by some very strange sounds from bottom of garden some years ago, turned out to be a badger eating my daughters guinea pigs.....
  10. I got mine year's ago from a school mate when he saw it written on my wellies...since then I have been known to very occasionally get one!
  11. Sparkie Count me in for the weekend cheers sort payment as before?
  12. Great day, great bunch of lads, thanks to those that organised it, i will pop a gas burner in the car next time just in case...
  13. The vodka version is good as has been mentioned, but avoid marrow brandy....like the plague, bloody grim imo
  14. I reckon i know a few 100% about (4) that i do not need to question, however was on a forage with a European mate and he had an astounding knowledge and understanding of both fungi and mushrooms and cooked up a delicious meal with them later that day, when i asked how he got it he said he used to go out with his grandma who would decide where and what they should pick based he said on the weather that morning....i think witchcraft is a play myself..
  15. just got a coupe of the turbo flappers from A1, most effective and if they continue that way i can see my magnet staying in the shed.
  16. Anyone been there, lived there or worked there, or have we gleaned all this information from the media? We are being distracted from the real agenda imo
  17. Tried to find this a while ago and was told no parts left or available as they are out of business, be very pleased to hear whether you get a result, i tried air gun centre in essex who i bought it though many years ago and the chap said if he had the bits he would honor the lifetime service warranty, atb
  18. It was really straight through the action, i actually had a few comments on it being ever so slightly a leftie, which i doubted so I confirmed with Ruger they said they never cast them and all were supplied straight, special order for a left hand?
  19. Just had a stock 'hot oil cast for me by Rakers, did a really nice and very accurate job, did not even know it could be done, now i have a keeper in what i thought was going to be a gun for sale or major modification. cost little more than a slab of cartridges.( Its a Ruger, I thought it was stock bolted?)
  20. Apparently he has a net worth of approx $145 million, so he can spend what he likes, however if history is anything to go buy he will require the services of people with guns & traps before to long, unless he wishes to let is all return to wild nature which will in turn create its own problems, don't forget that without mans intervention the countryside soon becomes a little overgrown, even if you like to hug trees, fighting through scrub to do it seems a little OTT.
  21. Hi Ronnie welcome, I used to live there when i was a wee lad, enjoy the site
  22. What a great couple of days! my thanks go out to the organizers and those that helped set up and clear up, with out a doubt a lot of time and effort had gone into making it a very memorable event, targets and ranges were extremely well thought about with something for everyone. Meeting like minded individuals in such a great setting was a delight and seeing some very high standards of shooting even better. Loved the long range stuff, especially chuffed to have hit a few. Will be keeping in touch with a few of the lads, and will be back at the drop of a hat for sure. Just off to sell a kidney in order to replace the ammo! A terrific weekend thanks again.
