  2. I help out at a sim shoot, tips aren't expected but appreciated if they are given. Any that are given are split with the team. At our shoot the normal tip given by the guns is around 20 quid, but only give if you want. As vmaxphil said the best tip is 21g cartridges!

  11. No I think a journalist is someone that reports new by relaying the facts not by making it up or forgetting to report some of the important facts so as to make the story what they want. Trouble is there aren't many journalists about any more!
  12. I gave up watching him when he did a bit on something that I knew a bit about, and he obviously was right behind the idea of not letting the truth get in the way of a good story!

  19. Yes would be the answer, I had a belt from a back fed supply. I had a building switched and locked off but some clever **** had a spur of the main building that was unknown to any one but him, when the power went of he plugged a generator in to one of the wall socket! Imagine my surprise when a switch i was working on and had tested suddenly became live!🤬
  20. If the generator is big enough to run the house you would need a changeover switch of some sort, if its not big enough then better just to plug in what is going to be powered or as ditchman said you will need a generator circuit and a change over switch on that.
  21. got a shotgun in one pic and a rifle in another. I'm guessing he used an old bsa air sporter to bring down the jet
  22. We at Firle Shooting decided to put on one of our simulated game days too raise money for Cancer Research we hoped to make a few hundred quid. Well the shoot was yesterday and so far we have raised just over £8000. I would like to say a big thank you to Bowman for lending us 6 more traps so that we could have 2 teams out shooting, and to CCI international for sending us a pallet of their Eco clays and to Chris Potters in Tunbridge Wells.
  23. I've got a kelly kettle so hot water sorted for coffee or or cupa soup and a couple of gas lanterns, I'm thinking that it will be power out for hours rather than days. But just in case i have a some camping stoves 1 gas with about a dozen cylinders 2 petrol a single and a double burner plus a couple of trangias. Just in case it gets cold there are four or five sleeping bags in the loft and if it gets really bad a tent that i can pitch in front of the log burner and enough logs to last the winter.
  24. The rat will get used to it!
