  1. Surprise, surprise!! An American has failed to understand Irony. Many thanks for helpfully pointing out that shooting experience` is somehow likned to the amount of posts you put in this forum. I thought it was something to do with shooting!!
  2. Don't some of you youngsters get heated under your school uniform collars? Have we forgotton humour? Is there no irony left in the world? Of course my post was not serious - shame some of you couldn't see that. All I was trying to do was introduce an interesting thread under the heading "general banter". If I did cause any offence - all I can say is GROW UP! This forum should be fun - there are no teachers reading it! You won't get a detention, or have to pick litter up after school if you say something out of line. :*)
  3. There are obviously alot of youngsters who are members of this forum. Some talk some sense, most talk utter ****!! If you're under 18, ain't got an FAC, and have to go out with daddy every time you shoot, then stop pretending to be a bloody expert.
  4. Couldn't agree more Gralloch - Don't worry about expressing your views or shaking things up - makes it interesting. There's a recent thread on here entitled "new pb" which I would expect you might have something to say about Gralloch. 400+yard shots on live quarry being discussed
  5. These guys give us all a bad name. See the attached I found surfing the web from an antis site - we don't need to be giving the antis ammunition like this!! http://homepage.eircom.net/~icabs3/videos-dh.htm
  6. If you read my first post in this thread all should become clear, Mr Lurcherboy.
  7. I wonder if Yorkshire Pudding and those other self styled so called experts who agreed with his post some weeks ago saw Inside Report on BBC 1 tonight. Like many hunts down here in the South, from this weekend, foxes are going to be shot on the morning of a drag hunt so the hounds can follow the scent. Therefore more foxes will die as a result of the Hunt Ban. - Quad Erat Demonstrandum. I don't know about the Yorkshire packs, but down here our hounds are trained to follow the fox, dead or alive! Sorry to wee on your bonfire, or was it a sparkler YP
  8. If Hunting is banned after 19 February, and I use the word "if" advisedly, it will result in many more foxes being killed than had hunting continued. In order to retain the hounds hunting skills and the infrastructure of the Hunt until the Hunting Act is repealed, trail hunting may be practised by some Hunts. As the hounds are only trained to follow fox scent, a dead fox will need to be dragged behind a horse to lay the scent. So for each trail hunt a fox will certainly have to be shot. I doubt many Hunts have such a 100% record. If I was a fox I think I'd look forward to the date when the Hunting Act is repealed.
  9. I have an offer of shooting over Rape in Herts - farmer wants me to get cracking straight away. Problem is, although I'm an experienced game/clay shot, I've not had much success with the woodies. Anyone out there fancy joining me one weekend and helping me out?
  10. I remember seeing a silenced shotgun in Sporting Gun or a similar mag last year. It looked like it was single barrelled but the barrel was twice as thick as a usual twelve guage. Why do you ask? Given up on asking permission ?
