  1. Just shot 11 rats through a Brno bolt 22lr work perfect. Killed a rat stone dead at 18yArds. Mates got a 22 smooth bote
  2. Small rough shoot in honiton looking for a couple more beaters. Can't pay as the guns only pay enough to cover costs. 5 shoot days. Beaters day at the end and possibility of pest control out of season (shotgun only). Dogs welcome
  3. Squirrels and muntys are at my pheasant feeders day and night can't get rid of the bloody things! This slightly colder weather will bring them more and more. Where abouts in the country are you ?
  4. I'm in exactly the same boat. Drinkers near by and a little aniseed mixed in will help.
  5. I have 200 acres of forestry ground. It's our first season Put 100 pheasants down seen odd ones but it's so wild and not easily accessed it's hard to tell where they are. Some drives are 50 acres of fallen trees and braken so not surprising. Not helped by the fact this 'crow act' allows people to go anywhere in the wood is far from ideal. Can't feed it as I would like as any feeders near rides get pushed over or emptied and hidden,so The hoppers are out of public view. It's only a casual shoot so no one is under pressure . The neighbouring shoot puts down thousands and shoots 3 days a week so I'm sure we will be getting a few as the weeks go on (although I'm not encouraging it)
  6. I have put a few duck down and there is always pheasants down there. Only just taken on the shoot it's woodcock heaven along the valley bottom. When I viewed the ground back in January there were a fair few there. Hope there is some cold weather on its way the cover needs a good hit to bring it down. I know there are a few 'native' woodcock but I would prefer to leave them alone until the others arrive
  7. I have a small shoot near honiton,Devon. It's our first year and I'm relying on the woodcock for a couple of drives. Any guess to arrival dates would be good..,. I'm told they come on the woodcock moon??? Our first day is 7th november
  8. Fantastic opportunity for single and groups of guns to join in some rough shooting. 250 acres of woodland with many rides, banks, ditches and small streams. Estimated 30+ bird day. Insurance, certificate and experience needed. 9-10 guns. 7 standing 3 walking. £60 a gun.
  9. If you need help again im a safe shot about a hour away have insurance and small 4x4 (grand vitara) guns and dog.
  10. how did it go ? safe gun available with 4 hours notice anyday
