  1. i have one of these and use it to find rabbits in stubble and it works really well for following up on deer, as you say, anything past 100 yards or so is optimistic for recognition but I have seen deer further than that they just show as blobs though for the money its a useful tool, good luck with the sale
  2. brilliant binos, i have some and they are well worth every penny
  3. thinking of you and the little one. My wife miscarried yesterday at 15 weeks. The nhs have been absolutely amazing, I couldn't fault any of the care we have had. He is a cutie!
  4. I suspect that the mood of the french riot police will not be one of restraint, I saw the CRS break up some sort of demo / rally in Paris once and it was brutal! These mouth breathing shaved apes deserve everything they get though, absolutely no sympathy from me. I've been to countless rugby matches and never seem this sort of ****, its a minority of idiots spoiling it for all
  5. i am in bournemouth and ours came ages acgo if that helps at all?

Hi all, Potentially silly question My hw mod on my air rifle is causing accuracy issues as the pellets are clipping it I have a mod for my 22 rim fire, can I used that on a 22 air rifle as well? Cheers Nick
  10. I shall give it a go, thanks mate
  11. How did he reposition the mod? Mine is either screwed on or off and not a lot of play in it all all? Cheers Nick
  12. That's useful Colin, I might pick up some too... Cheers for the heads up
  13. i have tracked my issue down to the mod... i am getting pellet on pellet groupings at 30 yards (the legnth of my garden) without the mod. stick it on and every 5th pellet or so is all over the place.... i can only assume the pellets are clipping the inside of the mod althogh i cant see any silver residue inside the mod
  14. some cracking shooting, half those bird i wouldnt even bother trying for...
  15. that's a very kind offer, thank you.. I will drop you a PM next week if that's ok? odd... does your action move in the stock? I was checking the obvious things earlier and there is definite play in the action in terms of being able to wiggle it slightly in the stock...
  16. cheers, i will start with the basics and see how i do
  17. bear with me please gents, i am new to this PCP game and its been years since i picked up a springer. I am zeroing my new BSA ultra se with the pellets that came with it, RWS superdomes... Every 5th or so pellet seems to be a flier, not even a little bit but 6 inches in any direction. any ideas, I know the rifle isn't regulated but the pressure is about 150 bar after I have finished so well within what I would think would be operating limits. I have tried it with mod on and mod off, same thing thanks nick
  18. true enough, i have been shooting a springer since i was knee high to a grass hopper and that alwasy did the job
  19. Cheers Bruno, It's totally my fault and a private sale so will just suck it up and put it down to experience. I should have read the advert and done my research better. I just need to make sure the first shot counts!
  20. cheers for the reply, I have got one now though
  21. I didn't realise they did a single shot either, hence my assumption. Its a fair point figgy, I grew up shooting stuff with my trusty springer, I will give it a go and see how I get on. Its my first PCP and first impressions are pretty good. cheers chris, I was itching to get down to the paddocks tomorrow after I've zeroed but apparently the wife has other ideas...
  22. Well my new (to me anyway) bsa ultra se has arrived. It shoots really well, very quiet and spot on accuracy wise My only issue is that I thought I was buying the multishot and I misread the advert. Whoops! Seeing as I want it for hunting I shall see how quickly my fat fingers can reload
  23. my wife got me a days course at Rover cottage doing smoking and curing. The bloke who wrote the book ran the course and it was fantastic, learnt loads and would recommend... now have some venison prosciutto, pig cheek bacon and salami hanging in my homemade curing chamber my wife is loving it! (she is a vegetarian)
  24. As it says really, I am after a BSA Ultra SE Tactical in 22, ideally as part of a package. whatcha got? thanks nick
  25. cheers mole, i will do. i have purchased all my rim fires from on here actually and they have been fine but then again a PCP is a much more complictaed beast and I hadnt appreciated that as much
