  1. Ok cant resist - does that stop the lenses from cracking
  2. Errm no just providing a view on your post. Assume thats what you were expecting when posting on here. I would divert my energies into making a complaint from your perspective of the situation to the health board in question they all have complaints procedures and as I understand it the turnaround is quite quick these days.
  3. Glad I asked there are some creative folks on here! I think I'll try some the bags are out of stock so will wait till they come in. ttab what about the light blue did you get paint for that? I previously painted my decoys with a mix of homebase matt exterior paint tester pots, they come in light blue which I darkened with some black until happy with shade then mixed white and black for the grey and they do a rusty colour for the chest. Problem was having enough mixed to do everything as when remixing it is hard to get 100 the same - a real pain in the butt.
  4. Well said owain I have to agree with this and in particular toontastics and DM's comments!! I find the original post a rather ignorant view. Also It quite amazes me how some folk can predict anothers susceptibility to the influence of drugs based on an upbringing. Personally I have seen drugs addiction in all types of familes from the poor and less educated to the well educated and very wealthy and indeed have seen folks I knew in the past die from such an affliction one was actually a pro footballer. Some peoples idea of a "good upbringing" can also result in creating issues with their kids. Also I am quite sure there is a whole load more to it than just the costs for the initiative these things tend to be approved based on costs, benefits and risks etc. I would certainly rather they had somewhere to go than them doing it in a public place where there stuff is left lying around to cause possible serious damage to others.
  5. I do this too. Sometimes with cider instead of wine is very nice indeed. I do cook them fast like steak too, having said that I have been known to cook a bit more thoroughly and let them cool until next day and slice up mega thinly with a super sharp knife. All good
  6. LOL x 2 - and I look less like a sister chasing good old boy
  7. Was wondering how folks were getting on with these are they standing up to the durability claims? Some of the online images make them look dark is the colouring good? Thinking of buying some.
  8. Have to say I am well impressed with it. I gave myself a right sore head reading various threads here and elsewhere re the best approach lol then went for their package. I think I gave it 3 coats of alkanet then 3 coats of both the rapid oil and the ts95 (with pumice). Polished up this morning with a glass cloth and looks brill. Another couple of coats and I dont think it will need anything extra on it. BTW I also read somewhere that coloured waxes are to be avoided as they can penetrate the wood and make it go blotchy.
  9. I find nikwax to be a bit messy leaving a bit of build up so reverted back to good old dubbing finished off with the hair drier.
  10. Am not sure about CCL oil but I am currently redoing a stock with trade secrets stock care kit alkanet oil, rapid oil and ts 95 oil they go on in that order the rapid oil is a blend of waxes and oils the ts 95 is a blend of oils. After that they suggest burnishing cream then gp wax to weather proof. I am pondering on finishing with the wax although the finish just now is nice. Wax does not normally work well with sticky things so you might have bother with the comb raiser. Wax can easily be stripped off with wax remover too. PS instead of burnishing cream I mixed jewellery grade pumice powder with the ts 95 oil
  11. Also recommend Lowa extreme hunter and rate very highly. I have wrecked many other brands. quote name="a303" post="3266432" timestamp="1496231641"] I use Lowa Hunter Extremes in winter and Lowa Tibets in summer. First pair were still going strong after 3 years. Only swopped em as I wanted a bigger size and they were on sale.
  12. Sounds good what flies methods were successful? Will be trying there soon. There was a good article on there in a recent T and S. Have had good sessions at Harelaw and Howood recently mainly buzzers, nymphs and wet flies doing the biz. Not surprised the sixth sense is wrecked I don't rate airflow lines in any way.
  13. Both eyes open for me a lefty with left eye dominance.
  14. Lovely there is just something about a nice lighthouse pic
  15. I wouldn't I have tried it and don't like. Just get a leftie and have the peace of mind that the cart, any guff and blowout flames are travelling away from you eyes.
  16. Hope the repair goes well. I warranty mine any issues reach for the phone lol
  17. Sorry just noticed this looks useful if you don't have one on your tablet.
  18. I resize all my pics in an image editor. Has your tablet got any applications that allow resizing? Prob need to take down to 10% or near that.
  19. Looks like it is a fiver I took into the basket which lists a 1.5 x 4 mtr net once in there, I then added the postgage at a fiver. I did not buy though as not needing netting.
  20. Having experienced the new rubbish nitromors recently. I just bought Bartoline stuff from Morrisons for the same purpose to strip a partially varnished stock. I'll prob do it over the weekend so will report on how good it was. I have also bought surgical spirit for cleaning dirt/oil from the exposed non varnished parts. Then will treat it with the trade secrets three oil pack which has the alkanet oil included.
  21. Look like good times ahead.
  22. Looking for info on how to review a gun for being a grey import. I have read a few posts where one UK gun dealer was selling grey imports (Berettas) without advising sellers etc. Best way to check?
