Sounds like a lambda sensor fault there's two one before the cat and one after changed them before on them for intermittent rough running and warning lights

There will be people who make a good living out of it deleting the speed limiting function like all them company’s who removed dpf and re programmed ecu’s

Mine did exact same thing took it back to the gun shop as it was under warranty they fitted a new pin by there gun smith they said it wasn’t worth the hassel sending it to Winchester for that. Lasted a fuw months and pin came loose started working it’s way out took it back again and a wanted it sending away to be fixed as only a year old it came back with a new pin in wasn’t a very good job ends had just been flatted badly with a punch didn’t look as good as it was originally they’d marked the stock totally last hart with it chopped it in at a different gun shop for a new beretta A400 action over 3000 cartridges through it going off the gun pod they fitted from new been no bother But to be fair my friend bought a sx3 the same time as a did exactly the same guns in wood stock he still has his never one issue just my luck a suppose

I used dinitrol first time I've used it was very impressed with it. Put it on new l200 before wet weather started made sure it was clean and dry used clear wax oil inside chassis and box sections thinned out with sum white spirit

What I'd do would be ring the nearest vw dealer ask if it's had the nox update if they say YES ask when as from when the update gets downloaded you get two years warranty on all emission related components regardless off mileage service history If they say NO it hasent had the nox update date but it is outstanding book it in for that take car in delete any fault codes with a hand held code reader they will make sure there's no codes and the dpf hasn't been chopped then they down load the nox update when you get car back just ring up a fuw days later say the engine light been on and you've losing power book it back in and they will repair car for FREE it's been done loads times before and only know all this as friends work ato a vw dealer

I bought a 2017 mitsubishi L200 barbarian with 5200mile on about 2 months ago I'm getting 540 mile out of £80 diesel at £1.32 a litre works out about 40mpg ish I also tried all the other offerings by other manufacturers and l200 just felt better value I've done about 3000 mile in it now

I had a sx3 about 2 years had a brocken pin happen twice on the bolt slide and jam solid lost Hart with it traded it in for a new berrtta A400 xplor over 2000 cartridges in and been faultless

I like the vw passat all track nice big 4x4 estate car with the dsg gearbox

My A400 will cycle hull 21g x light 65mm cartridges now it's run in don't use them all the time but when I do I'm sort of expecting a miss feed from them but been spot on
