  1. LOl.....I hope so for you, I know how stressful and hassle this causes....good luck Royboy, let us know how you get on.....
  2. No, I doubt the Building Suppler will have an Engineer. Without knowing the size and extent as to what alterations you did, usually if you're knocking down walls, especially loadbearing internal ones, an Engineer would have needed to review?!? Like I said, I don't know the extent, if it's juts bridging a doorway, then yes, a steel from any builders yard would do it, but if it's spanning the length or width of a room carrying the floor above, I would have thought an independent Engineer would have needed to at least review.......Sorry, not trying to scare you, but I do this daily.......
  3. Regarding your final ash spreading wish, do you want us to try and find the original sheep to cremate and spread on the river bank as well?!?
  4. You'll be lucky to get somebody to put their PI on the line and warrant, to guess if a steel is adequate from a picture. Did you not have an Engineer look over, as it's usually them that will work out the size of the beam you require. They should have produced a cutting schedule that, as Millrace above has already stated, will give you shape, length and Kg/m bearing capacity. the Engineer should still have these records.
  5. Utter cobblers!! It's an 80's house so highly unlikely to be timber framed construction!! It's simply a brick and block cavity wall dry lined out probably for level......The OP has already said there's a blockwork skin. You're quite safe to cut out the dryling and bolt back to the 100 or 140mm (dependant of wall makeup) blockwork internal wall.
  6. I think we'd all need therapy after seeing those lol....
  7. I've had a CZ 17 HMR TH Varmint for over three years now, never had a misfire or ammo probles and it still shoots like a dream, I use it over my .22 everytine. so flat and easy to shoot....
  8. You sure its so you can be heard properly and not muffled when talking out ya a*?e...lol
  9. You ain't wrong there Eddy, I've pounded the entire area of The Vale and KB and like you, as soon as I open my mouth it's just a straight, no thanks, already got it covered.....I knocked on 12 farms two weeks ago and nothing, even though I saw some activity on the fields and told the farmer, but still a no thanks, at least they were polite no's though
  10. Let us know how you get on Wicstun, I've been pondering this for a while now... ATB Lloydi
  11. Hi oldy, Sounds like your not to far from me, I'm in KB.....Can't offer you a syndicate, but maybe a day on the pigeons if I ever get any, out of 4 farms I rarely see any Regards Lloydi
  12. Have you never made a misjudgement or mistake you regretted but have been given a second chance?!? Like the OP says, it was 10 years ago, I am assuming whilst immature youth not thinking about consequences!! So long as he has kept his nose clean since, I can't see an issue. In answer to the original question, I only had speeding convictions, so many I couldn't remember, so I declared what I remembered and then said I'd had approx. 6-8 more but can't remember dates. So long as you try and be honest and give as much detail as you can, you should be Ok, as already said, they already know the answer, they're just testing to see your honesty, and given your prior, I would try and be as honest and diaphanous as possible!! Let us know how you get on... ATB Lloydi
  13. Well done, it's always great and very exciting getting a new permission, sounds like you're going to have a ball
  14. I'm TVP, but I had a perm Under Glos, I just emailed glos firearms dept with a google map highlighting the plot, gave all My license details, contact details of me and the landowner, they were so quick, they cleared it within 3 days of the email including going out to see it....good luck..,
  15. So basically, your semi keeps falling out your zip....hmmmmmm can see this could cause a problem
  16. Bit obvious but I'll say anyway, as a fellow newbie to this excellent sport, also make sure you're aware of the rules and laws for deer staking!! I.E there are minimum calibres for the differing species of deer, in England and Scotland, minimum calibres is 220 for small deer like Munties and CWD, then 240 for the bigger stuff like roe, fallow reds etc. Also, there is criteria on minimum muzzle velocitys for the differing species. You can't shoot them hour before sunrise or hour after sunset, you can't shoot from a moving vehicle, if you shoot one and it runs to adjoining/neighbouring premises you don't have permission on, lawfully you're supposed to get permission to retrieve it etc etc.........Sorry if you already know about this, but I just thought worth pointing out. I attended and successfully completed the DSc 1 with NGO and it's an excellent and very worthwhile course if you haven't been lucky enough to be taken out by an experienced stalker. Gralloching experience is another thing to get to grips with. Good luck and good hunting.
  17. I'd of gladly come with you again buddy, if you were a bit closer
  18. Don't worry JDog, I'll order us one each
  19. J Dog and myself shot 60 odd in the Cotswolds on rape Saturday just gone......
  20. Na, it's just your natural charm and charisma.....lol.....
  21. Between us, lol, you and JDog are far too kind, I think I had about 150 by myself, good old JDog has spared my sensitivity but alas, I shot terribly and he counted for majority of the bag. None the less I still had great fun, and enjoyrd listening to JDog and gaining valuable lessons and experience...
  22. Ok ok, yes it was a fantastic day and we definitely had fun...,however, one would like to add here, that said rotary was working fine until my aged friend I was shooting with wired it back to front and blew the bloody motor.....lol....anyway, I had immense fun as always when shooting with JDog and made a bit of spare cash in the process by dropping off the bag at the game dealers..
  23. Total lack of respect....I've been invited to some fantastic shooting places in the Cotswolds by a certain celeb on here, and with one of his other friends, but I would never dream of goi g trying to poach where they'd been good enough to take me.....
  24. Was the pub as nice as the greyhound J Dog?!?
