My boys started shooting at a young age (in the garden - it's a good size) - you can get low powered air rifles, and now they are in the cubs they can shoot on the local scout range. It also got me back into shooting and I went on the range officer course. I think it really depends on the club, as long as you are over 21 and fully supervise you should be fine. Although the laws do seem to be a bit more strict then a shot gun - yes very odd !!

Yeah mine too - went to buy a shotgun and the guy thought it was a forgery !!! so we both went to the old bill station and because the firearms officer was not about, the desk sergeant wouldn't say either way. It is legit btw

Hi All, New to the site - just seeing what's going on around the Bedfordshire area. I used to go Field Target in Box End but site was closed over Christmas. Any of you local guys fancy going Shooting (or a meet up and a pint if you want to suss me out first) let me know. Been shooting on and off for a number of years - started as a kid, dad would take me with him to Vauxhall shooting club - when it was in the bean tin by Haward Taylors (if any of you remember that) then out doors at the rec. Go to the States a far bit and shoot the silly stuff. Clays are OK for a bit of fun, but prefer stalking and single shot. Currently have a HW 100 plus a few other bits n bobs. Cheers Andy
