  2. Had the same problem, mine was fine after zeroing(everytime i went out)for the first, second, maybe the third shot, then a mile off,and it turned out to be the scope, for my money, buy a Hawk Airmax, yes there not the best, but i have never needed to re-zero as yet after many hunting trips, very impressed....

    Lamping

The one we have the green filter for now,is a logan, what a wasnt of cash that was, total ****,with the filter on,you got to be near enough to touch the bunnys, near enough anyway, the only thing we use it for is a light just to see our gear, and loading up ect, think it was about 70quid,i must have been mad to buy that, yes i do need the vari power attachment fot the 1million power one we use,but i still think that the green is softer on the bunnys eyes, softer on mine anyway.....

    Lamping

Question:-For a wile now we have been using a red filter, now the bunnys seem to be scared of this now, hasnt taken many trips for this to happen,we use a second lamp,a lower powered one, this has a green filter,it seems to alot better, they not as scared of this colour, but is this because we have used the green less?or is it a better colour for bunnys?Anyway i have ordered a green, and blue filter to try on the big lamp, anybody tell me about this? Thanks....
  5. God knows mate, recently i replaced my simmons whitetail,3.5-10+50,that has turned out to be defective :< so i got a Hawk Airmax 4-12+44AO,now i hate AO,but i thought give it a try,and for £80 didnt break the bank,i zero`d it in 7 shots, and been out shooting 5 times since and the zero hasnt changed atall,im very impressed with the scope,i think the best scope i have ever had for keeping its Zero.Oh and whatever it says there scopes are good for killing, well i have killed rabbits, pigeons, crows, hares, ferrals, ect.with it,i think the advise they give for the best use of there scopes is just SALES TALK mate, but hawk scopes have my vote now...
  6. 100times zoom?been out lamping tonight, very, very windy i think this must put most of the rabbits off, must do,coz not alot out, only 4 tonight, and walked along way, mind could have been the very wet fields, and it been a very stary might, maybe to light?
  7. Oh and the big magnification scopes, the reason is i like the 50mm lense, better for the evening shooting, and the lamping...
  8. Yes super 7,dont use any more than 4.75ish on the magnification,i shot the bunny at 97 yards, wouldnt lie, after the first shot it was easy to judge the gap, might have been lucky but was meant,i like just alittle more than 4+mag,just me that, when we go out with friends mag-rimfire 4+mag is more than enough but need to that little bit more accurate with the shots with the rapids...
  9. when i got my rapid, about 6 months ago,i bought a Whitetail classic,3.5-10+50,thought it was good kit, looked the part anyway, but some days the gun would be zero`d,and other days firing all over the place, friends said it could be the scope, but i didnt listen,so after months of changing seals, and messing with the gun,and feeling very frustrated i bought a Hawk airmax scope(not rating hawk atall)the gun zero`d within one mag,and has never moved since, and the Hawk has the mildot reticle, another thing i didnt rate and didnt think i needed, but last night i dropped one at 97 yards, after firing one pellet and seing the poof of dust were the pellet hit,the second i allowed for,and straight hit in the head ,i was very happy, and my friend very impressed,so now i have changed my mind on the Hawk range, and mine being the 4-12+48,boght it new for 75 notes, and the simmons being 209notes,Also when i got the gun(NEW)the valve on the buddy bottle was knacked, and we tried to fix.So therefore DRAPERS of Nottingham sold me a rite load of ****,apart from the gun, which after nearly loosing faith in it,and not beleiving people about how effective the super 7 is,well now im more than happy, and have lamped more than 50 bunnys this week with my Hawk scope, and soon the rookery at the farm will be done, looking forward to many more happy days with my rapid.
  10. yes you can adjust the by turning the rear screw, but flush to action with premiers, you will get about 23ftlbs,27ish one turn in,but for premiers 24 more than enough, but i can shoot 45 shots with barracudas, then they start to drop, then load up with prems and get another couple of mags, just got a boz of 20.5grn exterminators, available from blackpool airguns, they look much better quality, try the light pellets, but you will end up using the heavy ones, will let you know how the exterminators mate.Deni...
  11. Yes got about 13 wazb, let me know if you want one lol
  12. I have received my flying pigeon and crow decoys today, can you give me any advice on how high to have them?and how far to off the pattern, any help would be good thanks,Deni... ,Havent seen these collapsable ones before....
  13. Hello there,im no great expert, but i have stopped using shell decoys, they just dont do the business for me,i now have full bodied ones,standing/standing feeding, and sitting also, and i have a flying decoy on the way,and hope that will do me even better.Deni...
  14. Yes got nets, its just freezin here at the moment,im only 26 and should be able to stand the cold no probs, but 2.5years ago i had bad accident at work, broke pelvis, had 9 ops,and full of titainium, and stainless screws and rods,so the cold effects me badly. And no it doesnt put them off,i have good days with the full body dec`s,just the other day with the shells i had to convince myself they dont work, and they Dont.Im in direct flight line of pigoens, they fly over me every evening no more than 25yards away, yes very cramped for shooting, but it has to be that way, until the better weather,thanks,Deni...
