  1. Basically it acts as a 3rd hand whilst hand stitching leather together, Ideal for knife sheaths as the leather is usually between 3 to 5 mm thick so 2 sides and a welt would be 15mm thick. Hard work even with pre drilled holes.
  2. Thank you! Can you post pics when you make yours,
  3. Thank you ! And there will tears tonight if your wife finds out........... The tears will be YOURS!
  4. I make my own leather sheaths and decided to make a stiching pony. It fits in to a bench vice so it is a shorter version of a floor standing one.it is cobbled together from offcuts and cost me nothing.
  5. That is outstanding. Very well done.
  6. Thank you. He has looked into getting a de- activated one, But he has this.
  7. Credit has to go to my friend who installed the radios, plates are from an old stationary counter, the serial no. is copied from an original then laminated then attached. Without the help of my friend the result would have been a non working military looking bird feeder
  8. Just telescopic, 3 feet long, Do you mean the ones that look like a broken retractable tape measure?
  9. Friend of mine is mad keen on WW2 U.S Vehicles he has 2 trucks and a Jeep that he takes to the shows, War and Peace etc etc! He wanted a pair of Motorola walkie talkies, originals cost an arm and a leg and don't work so came up with these. Friend of mine who is a electronics wizz put in 2 PMR radios and wired them to the proper switches so looked and work authentically. These were done a while ago, just found the pics.
  10. This is probably my favourite, It was a gift from a good friend who was in the French Foreign Legion for six years, They were usually given out at Christmas but could just buy them. I asked him what was his work knife when he was in and he said an Opinel, And you were expected to have one with you at all times.
  11. Made a few knives from bought blades, But wanted to make one from scratch , Apart from H/T had that done by someone who knows what he is doing. .
  12. I have had one for 20+ years used on clays and pigeon, and well pleased with it. The only problem was the simple carbon unit on the back end, "That is me by the way."
  13. Have you got power to your office? If yes this may solve the problem http://www.techradar.com/news/networking/powerline-networking-what-you-need-to-know-930691. Doh! Need to read the question before posting, Sorry
  14. The only thing i can suggest is to go on to youtube and put in your tv make and model number and see what comes up. Good luck.
