  1. Can anyone help? Looking to join a small Pheasant syndicate shoot for next season, stay in central Borders, happy to travel. Also if anyone knows of any days for sale for the rest of this Season please drop me a line. Thanks Scotty
  2. Advice please. My 3 year old cocker spaniel has started picking up dead sticks and eating them, never done this before. No worms etc I can only think hes not getting something from his diet. I have had bother with him and his grub before but he has been on fishmongers finest for over a year with no problems upto the last fortnight. Any suggestions on a decent feed or why he has started this? Pulling bits of broken up stick from his backside is becoming too regular a task!
  3. Hello, looking to join a small syndicate in the Scottish Borders for this season. Bit late I know but just been let down for a place. Cheers lads.
  4. Which is fair enough, but if you are receiving a reply to says its been received you can print what you sent and what was received back. Must be quicker, easier and cheaper than posting paper copies recorded post.
  5. Perfect, short and sweet. I just sent a email to local firearm dept to ask if it was an acceptable method, within 3 second I received an auto reply from them saying the email had been recieved and if it was to notify them of a acquisition or disposal of a firearm to accept this as an acknowledgment of receipt. Happy days! Thank you all.
  6. Thanks folks. So there isn't a set out online form apart from in lincs? I take it you in your own words send what you have bought or sold from where and serial numbers dates etc? Anyone from scottish borders or edinburgh notified by email?
  7. After messing about with recorded post for transfer notification to police scotland, i had heard you can do it by email now. Is this true and where do you find the link etc?
  8. Haha dougal, im suprised it took so long for someone to lower the tone!! Cheers john.
  9. Thanks for the feedback chaps. Johnfromuk I am 5ft 10" and 13 stone, in my opinion it looks right and shoots right. So fenboy your correct, i wont bother my a**e about the others! Cheers
  10. Thanks for the advice gents. To my feel the browning feels heavier and steadier in the swing than my old beretta 30" proved it was a good fit with the pattern plate... im over the moon with my new gun cant wait to get some more shells through it. Thanks again lads
  11. Advice required folks.... Only got my certificate in February, followed advice and bought a used gun to get me started so I bought a well used beretta 687 30" barrel. Been shooting a wee while now and found out I enjoy sporting clays and DTL, decided i had saved enough money and went out to buy something a bit newer to match the shooting Im doing. Spent hours yesterday looking and trying different guns, narrowed it down to 3, miroku mk 38, beretta silver pigeon both 30" barrels or a browning ultra xs 28" barrel. Tried all 3 at clays and on pattern plate, much preffered the browning came up better and felt right in my hands. Shot well with it. I've heard folk going on about barrel length before. After showing people my new gun i was told i should have never have bought a 28" barrel annd went for a 30 or 32. Am i showing how novice i am or does barrel length play a noticable difference? Where does the barrel length factor come from?
  12. Never saw it, dont think il buy one!
  13. Any reveiws on webley and scott 912k over / under 12 gauge shotgun? Thinking about buying one, cheers.
  14. I have tried nearly every butcher in my area apart from Lauder, I will try there. I did go see the butcher near gunroom but they take small amounts from a chap they know. I will try Lauder and let you know how i got on. Thanks for your help.
