  1. As is says m8 .lincoln 20 bore .Premier model. I bought it new earlier in season .Lovely gun to look at,nice slim action and that i thought would help counter the fact its an o/u but im going back to sxs guns. Simply because i want to.I've shot all sorts of guns and i've had some cracking shots with it but when your skills(such as they are) are being compromised by the tool, change the tool .I will pick up a sxs 20 bore though for when i use a lighter gun. Very impressed with their capabilities.
  2. Having been flustered once too many trying to adapt to an o/u i am now resigned to the fact i shoot better with a sxs. Always have ,always will.Im selling my o/u lincoln 20 bore now the seasons almost done .I might get a sxs 20 for next season but for now im searching for a good sxs 12 bore that can take a steel load .steel proof not vital as we all know what a gun can and cannot take.So message me if you have a good sxs.maybe a greener 3" or perhaps an aya 3".Id like a hammer gun ideally but it would need to be a solid mother for steel to go thru it.

  8. A friend gave me some really light loads to get the shot for use in the percussion gun a while back and i found that really light loads have not the oomph to cycle.

SxS or maybe auto waddya got?
  12. We are pretty sure we shot a pink suffering from avian flu yesterday .Just totally confused and scared sat on the fields edge. Not "wounded" to the eye at least but its behavior mirrored that of a tern a month back i saw acting irrationally on the saltings and also a teal a few weeks back i saw acting very odd not a mile distant from this case. Sadly i think this is becoming common place
  13. Lost my sheet with the RTO data for using blue dot with a 1.5 oz of lead. Anyone got any loads they can send over???
  14. when i were a lad😁 Ok when I was young my old man any myself were ferreting the sea wall out the Eden estuary in Fife when the landowner arrived up the wall with two others with maps and lots of fingers pointing out over the mud up to the end of St Andrews Golf course. Long story short it was pre LNR days and this "consortium" had ambitions to fill in a large section of the bay for yet another fekin golf course. Letters were written by my old man and the right people notified of the money-making venture. It didn't happen of course. Shows you though, the mud can be seen as nothing but an area for profit making, and wildlife not given a second thought.
  15. hw77 or a hw35--now they are heavy.My hw100 is a fairy gun to carry by comparison.
  16. Bought one last year. Not used it much but it sure kills rabbits and pigeon well. Best shot was a rabbit in the wheat field at 45 paces head shot. Pellet went clean thru and ricochet off a stone in the dirt. Lovely guns.
  17. Aye there's always one who thinks people can't be struggling because he or she keeps warm enough hugging a photo of her (or his) majesty and singing land of hope and glory. Absolutely some are simply wasters and scroungers i agree totally but please don't be ignorant and assume everyone that is struggling is in that same scrounger boat
  18. Not good news m8. Ive seen a few pigeons behaving quite odd lately. Most likely flu. Saw a tern flutter up beside me a month or so ago and start nesting and staggering about before walking off and nesting again on the salting in the gloom. its head all over the place most certainly infected.it was eaten by a fox i noticed a few days later. My point is, if you have eyes to see and are in the countryside often it's not difficult to come across birds that are behaving strange due to infection
  19. holy share your food batman that looks tasty.
