Roe calling is great stand next to a tree and call i have had one come to 10 yards and just look me in the eyes and walk off amazing thing to see a animal so close. 14. the courses are only useful if your going to buy stalking from the forestry commission ect I was taught by my dad from a young age. My advise would get friendly with a local deer stalker and ask him to be your mentor when you apply for your firearms licence he should take you out and teach you the craft. if your close to me ill take you out for free.
