I know it’s a bit of a cliché, but a pupil at my high school lost an eye when someone shot him with a Gat Gun, so they’re certainly not toys!
But like a lot of people, my first ever experience with guns was with a Gat Gun that I pleaded with my folks to buy me at a local market.
Many hours were spent shooting that thing in the back garden, especially in winter, when i’d blatt snowmen with it 😂

I can’t help wondering who A.H.H. was, and what he shot and where?
It does make you wonder.
My cartridge bag should have had GRR on it 🫣

Nooooo, that stuff is rubbish, fails after 6months to a year. I did a bit of work for a mates landscaping company and he was sold on it by the sales man and we all loved using it but he then started getting call backs to rectify its failure, cost him a lot of time and money sorting it out and safe to say he stopped using it. Think it was called easy joint
That stuff was used on our garden slabs three years ago - looked nice for the first while but as mentioned, starts to loosen and dislodge. We’ve had it replaced in parts a couple of times.
It’s easy enough to do but I’d rather not have to!

Check out Tuin - we’ve had two log cabins (3m x 3m) from them - one made with 28mm “logs” and the other was 40mm. Very substantial construction and stay very cosy.
They do more utilitarian buildings, too.

Yep, woodwasp. I found one in a wooden pallet and nearly sh@t myself 😂
The long appendage at the rear is its egg-laying device, I believe

Er I think you only use sandpaper in budgies cages
it’s been glass paper for years 😂😂😂
That’s what I get for buying my DIY gear at the pet shop 🤔

I need a hand sander and some decent quality 80/120 grit paper. I’m fed up of buying packs of awful quality sandpaper and want to get some that will last a bit longer.
It’s more for tidying edges rather than intricate work.
What are the best options from the DIYers or craftsmen on here please? 🙂

Would you even need a welder?

Get some ABS plastic (cut into tiny pieces - ABS 3d printing filament is ideal)
And some 100% acetone.
Fill a small glass jar with the ABS bits and just cover with acetone.
Leave overnight with lid on until all the ABS has dissolved. Pour away any excess clear acetone and you’re left with a toothpaste-consistency molten plastic, which you can push into the cracks. It will harden in no time as the acetone quickly evaporates.
-
Maybe try some skeet (if your ground has the option ) - The consistency of the targets will help you see if you’re improving over time.
I’ve seen guys taking 20 or more shots at the same target and missing every time but once it “clicks” where they should be shooting, how much lead, etc, they crack them much more consistently. If your targets are changing every time you visit, you won’t get familiar with them.
