  1. Top bloke...shame he had to deal with someone suited to life on the sunshine bus I think that new fangled tech is a bit much for you bud lol
  2. Thanks for this. I appreciate you guys are in a tricky position with regards to comments that when viewed in isolation are "controversial". I hope that you appreciate that the earlier comment relating to Foxhunters close encounter with a badger puts the comment in the light intended. Hopefully the complainant will curtail his comments on this post, or at least have the good grace to read a few pages back. There you go again...and you reckon its me who has the handbag fetish....naughty boy Out last night....3 hours on 3 farms and the only thing I saw was....Badgers...I couldnt get close enough for a cuddle but watched 2 cubs for about 15 minutes through the thermal which was pretty cool. Got bored and went home...
  3. Similar vain to the "discussion" about that stunning buck you shot..bad bad evil bambi killer
  4. I made a comment about covert badger spotting after Marks comments a few weeks back where he stalked into one and scared the heck out of it by getting so close. Somebody who isnt a fan of mine made a comment which I objected to and I pointed out that Fox club wasnt for non fox shooting jessies to air their ignorant opinions....That all disappeared. To be fair to the mods I dont think it is a bad thing as they obviously know what a special bunch we all are its like being a pacifist and wanting to join fight club...and we all know the rules done we lol
  5. Grant is always on hols...how the other half live lol There was some good entertainment last week...but it got deleted
  6. Remember I have met you ...people in glass houses and all of that lol. You are lucky that Grants proper upbringing and politeness is rubbing off on you..feral cider drinker
  7. Cheers mate. The whole reason that Fox Club was formed was to avoid nonsense from non members..I just have to suffer non fox related abuse...mostly from you Well done mate Sort yourself out Mark.....lol Good luck with the Sika mate, stunning deer.
  8. Good work all round gents. Mansion duties for the last few days so no shooting Looks like the "argument" that was brewing from last week thanks to a certain lincs based pigeon shooter has all been deleted...no bad thing really. Hopefully I ll get out a couple of times in the next week once the silage is cleared on a couple of farms.
  9. I shot one a couple of years ago that was virtually white. It was still capable of poking holes in the silage clamp sheet so I was very non discriminatory.
  10. If the NV kit I have is anything to go by the external IR makes a world of difference. Try it and see what you think but I reckon you will be surprised.
  11. I wonder how on earth you shoot as much as you do when you spend so much time on holiday
  12. Since we bought the mansion and have our own fences I now wait for them to get stuck to avoid tiring myself out with the foreplay
  13. brilliant. Great job on the fox but not so good with the cows. Animals never do what you want. I spend 10 minutes chasing an 8 week old piglet round my neighbours field a couple of months ago..the field is steep and full of gorse and the piglet didnt want to come back. A quick dash and a rugby tackle finally brought proceedings to an end...then a weekend digging chicken wire into a trench to make fort knox...no more escapees. I also love the fact that you have the comfy side of things sorted. Sat in a garden chair with a coffee and rifle, thats the way to spend an evening
  14. Nicely done. I made it out last night...only on my ground as I was feeling lazy. Watched some owls on the bottom field for a while then headed up the lane to the top field. Tell tale heat signature of a fox at the top of the field. I watched the cub dashing about like a mad thing...looked like it was chasing moths . I couldnt take a shot as it was a bit to close to the brow of the hill so I called...which it ignored so I had to watch and wait . After about 20 minutes it presented a safe shot and dropped at about 140 yards. I left it for picking up this morning but the heavens opened so I ll go and get it once it stops raining. Nice to be out.
  15. I can keep going lol. Its good that we dont see eye to eye, it would be boring.
  16. Grant is just more tolerant of your comments then me. I laugh that you feel any objection to your somewhat ignorant comments constitutes a rant but I appreciate that you are a little thin skinned as previous comments have shown. Post a few pics of the deer you shoot and we can make suitable comments.
  17. If I get a lottery win I ll be after a Brock and Norris Rattal (.308) stunning rifle but a bit out of the price range . To be fair the 4 rifles in the cabinet dont see the light of day that often. Not even sure the shotguns work anymore lol . I am hoping to have a trip to devon later in the year and my mate has a new 6.5/.284 and a lot of deer have ended up in the food chain as a result already.
  18. Cheers Grant. I thought I was banned due to the lack of cakes and the man bag 2 of the fields at home have been cut so out with the caller and rifle tonight to see whats about
  19. I fancy getting a .204 myself but given the ongoing house renovation and lack of shooting it may be a few years yet
  20. ? What makes a person "deserving" of shooting a nice animal? Is it a case that you can shoot 4 poor ones and then 1 nice one? Is it only the poor ones that do the damage.... Ultimately a lot depends on the reasons for shooting deer, is it management, control etc etc Good job the concepts that are applied to deer shooting arent applied to the pigeon shooters as there would be a lot more nonsense spouted on this forum. I think shooting ugly deer is far easier and is much more preferable...why I hear you ask..you can head shoot them whereas with trophy animals you cant
  21. Looks like a fun day and some nice kit Steve
  22. must be me as Ed knew what you meant lol.
  23. Forgot to mention that I headed out on Sat night....lovely night..apart from the fact that most of the ground either had 2 foot tall corn or 2 foot high grass so couldnt see anything suggested that the farmer silaged then called me lol
  24. good point. Plasterers started this morning so solid progress at the moment. Still have all of upstairs to sort out but the structural stuff is all pretty well done. I reckon I ll be in bristol for 3 or 4 days in October so I ll give you a shout. Not sure Grant likes me anymore so I might be banned from coming out with you boys I now have a posh man bag for the thermal so brace yourself lol
